Hello!

To answer your question, one can neither predict the difficulty level of the AIIMS examination and nor can one predict how the rest of the candidates will perform.

However, to have a rough idea of what is the needed cut off percentile to crack AIIMS, you can look at the following data:

  • 2018 AIIMS qualifying percentile was 98.83.
  • 2018 AIIMS Raipur cut off percentile was 99.69 and the cut off rank was less than 1100 for general category.
  • 2017 AIIMS Raipur cut off percentile was 99.47 and the cut off rank was less than 1500 for general category.

Hence, you will have to prepare strategically for the examination. Practice a lot of previous year question papers so that you get the hang of the pattern of the examination.

Good Luck!

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

AIIMS do not release the question papers because the exam is conducted in online mode. But there are many useful books, sample papers available from where you can practice for the exam.

Some of the useful books are

1.Guide for Nursing Competitive exam by Preeti Agarwal, RS Sharma and Vinod Gupta

2.Nursing Entrance Test by R Gupta

3.BSc Nursing Entrance Test by Arihant

Hope it helps.

Thank you!!

dear raja,

here I am giving you the cutoff of 2019 of AIIMS-

The cutoff percentile score for general category is 98.1246748. For candidates belonging to OBC and unreserved PwD category the cutoff percentile is 95.2939507. The cutoff for OBC PwD category and SC/ST category is 90.2036135. The cutoff for SC/ST PWD is 82.2825521.

from previous year cutoff you can imagine that how many percentile you have to score for AIIMS

AIIMS and JIPMER seats will be filled through All India Counselling conducted by the DGHS on behalf of the NMC. While the information bulletin says this, it also says that Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir who wish to participate in All India Counselling need to submit a self declaration form. But there is a para in the information bulletin and it goes on to say:

"Candidates from the UT of J&K and Ladakh can appear in NEET (UG) 2020 for admission to Private Medical/Dental/Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homeopathy Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and AFMC, AIIMS, JIPMER subject to the fulfilment of respective eligibility conditions."

So going by this, a Candidate from Jammu and Kashmir can apply for AIIMS and JIPMER without producing a self declaration form but need to fulfil the individual eligibility conditions of AIIMS and JIPMER. For any questions regarding this, NTA has given an email id where your questions can be answered. You can write to them at: aiqpmt-mcc@nic.in

Hi Raja,

MBBS is a five-year Undergraduate course in the field of medicine. Up until last year, AIIMS and JIPMER conducted their own entrance tests for this course. However, they have been integrated with NEET UG from this year onward and these institutes will fill their respective MBBS seats by NEET UG scores.

Hi Raja,

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the  most reputed medical colleges in the country. It used to  conduct its own entrance test called AIIMS Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses. However, from this year onward, it will be taking admissions on the basis of NEET UG scores.
