Mahi, what needs to be remembered is that AIIMS and JIPMER are conducting admissions with NEET score and not the other way round. And NTA hasn't released any official notification regarding any change in the syllabus or exam pattern. So at this point in time, any guess work will remain speculative. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to as many as 1 lakh MBBS seats across India. And just because AIIMS and JIPMER are admitting students through NEET doesn't mean it should change the pattern that has been in force until now. So until either NTA or AIIMS or JIPMER releases any official notification, the syllabus and pattern of NEET shall remain unchanged.

Hello there!

Greetings!

Although aiims and Jipmer have been scrapped off and now these exams have been merged with neet but the eligibility criteria of neet is still the same . You can check neet eligibility criteria provided below :-

  • You need to be at least 17 years old by December 31st, 2020 ,

  • In order to be eligible for Neet, you need to get at least 50 % aggregate in pcb in your class 12th board examination if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories and 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd candidates.

  • There's no upper age limit for neet

Good luck for your neet preparation . For detailed information go through our page for which link is provided below :-

Hello there!

Greetings!

No , you don't need to give different exams for getting into aiims as now both aiims and Jipmer examination have been scrapped off , and admission to all the medical colleges in India including all the aiims and Jipmer will be based on the basis of marks/percentile obtained by you in neet examination, thus neet is single entrance exam i.e only gateway to all the medical colleges for mbbs, bds, bhms, bams etc. So , you need to appear for neet only and no other examination .

You can check the neet 2020 eligibility criteria provided below :-

  • To be eligible for Neet 2020 you need to be at least 17 years old by December 31st, 2020 .

  • You should get at least 50 % aggregate in pcb in your class 12th board examination if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories , 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd category.

  • There's no upper age limit for neet 2020.

Anjana, now as it is a known fact that AIIMS for the first time will conduct its admissions based on NEET score, the application process might chamge a little. Now the application process will only include the registration for admission and not entrance exam purpose. Ideally AIIMS releases its online applications for entrance exam in the month of November. Now we have to wait and see when the registration process might begin. Eitherways, please keep an eye on the official website for more information.

Hi Dhanalakshmi,

AIIMs cutoff for the year 2019 has already been released. The cutoff for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) is 90.20 percentile and the cutoff for SC/ST PWD is 82.28 percentile. So to be on safer side, you need to get scores above these cutoff percentiles. Basically, the best score would b to cross 90 percentile in order to get qualified.

Hello Sachin

As per AIIMS MBBS cutoff 2019, candidates belonging to General category are required to score at least 50% marks in AIIMS MBBS entrance exam, while those belonging to OBC category need to score at least 45% and SC/ST candidates are required to score at least 40% in order to qualify the exam.
Category: Qualifying Cutoff Percentage
SC/ST      : 40%
OBC        : 45%
General  : 50%

hi,

as of now there is no news for new pattern of questions. however the questions difficulty level is expected to slightly high as aiims and jipmer has also merged in neet exam.

follow careers360 page for further updates.

The basic registration of AIIMS Nursing 2020 for B.Sc courses will start in the last week of November 2019.
Exam will be on 24 June 2020 tentatively.
For important dates of AIIMS B.Sc nursing 2020, go through the link-

http://medicine.careers360.com/exams/aiims-nursing

In any examination, the percentile obtained by you gives and indication of the amount of candidates than you have scored more than. That means subtracting your percentile from 100 will give you the amount of people that have scored more than you. The percentile calculation formula is:

[The number of candidates that got less than or equal to you/ The number of candidates appearing for the examination] x 100
