The average package ranges from 6-8 lacs pa.The placement of civil engineering student is not much good in core companies but they get a very good placement in non core company.  Students in computer science engineering are placed in Google, IBM and other MNC. Student from civil engineering get placed in L&T, Supertech, Tata Construction and many other companies.  At the end of each year you have to do some training. Around 90-95% students get placed.

Amity University is a full fledged university and not deemed university.

It is credited by NAAC committee as A+ .

But it isn't approved by DEB (DISTANCE EDUCATION BUREAU).

So you can choose other universities if you wish for distance education.

Amity University is a renowned brand and known all over the world and India but Amity's campus in Kolkata was set up in 2015 which makes it just a 5 year old institution. It is a mediocre choice. You can see if you can get into Amity University Noida Campus or some other institute in that matter.

For pursuing BA in Economics  Amity Kolkata would be a better choice considering the exposure you will be getting by studying in Amity University Kolkata campus would be far better than the kind of exposure you would get by studying at the Patna Campus. Kolkata would also offer you a lot of internship opportunities and a good learning environment. On the other hand there are other good colleges/universities which offer Bachelor's in economics to those candidates who did not had mathematics as a subject in class 12th. Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi- you will have to appear for the university's entrance test for getting admissions to its BA. Eco degree. Indraprastha University, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University.
