MA Applied Psychology - Batch of 2026-01-01
Academics
The quality of teaching, like in all higher level studies, mostly depends on the effort that the student is willing to put in. In mo opinion, we should have more practical papers and classes. The professors are alright.
College Infra
The infrastructure, for at least the building that my department was in, was pretty mid. Students aren't allowed to use the lifts. The AC in one of the rooms allotted for our class had problems and the management took a very long time to fix it. The library is the best spot on campus, imo.
Campus Life
The best thing about the campus is the library. Great AC, great space to study, and functioning computers with wifi. The students there are from very diverse socio economic backgrounds. I think the campus is pretty safe apart from the occasional catcalls and eve teasing, especially in the H block.
Placements
The placement is not that great for psychology, i think that's mostly because psychology is a field that pays for expertise and experience. ive heard that placement for bba and mba is really good. I think for psychology, as far as I know, the highest salary offer was 3 to 4 LPA.
Value For Money
The AC wasn't always working and the wifi would only work in a few areas. We also faced problems with the projectors in some classes. If you forget to take your identity card even though your face is registered and you can enter the campus with face id, you have to pay Rs. 500, which for me, they said they will deduct from my security deposit.
