48 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Textile Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program offered by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR
- Passed min. 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Lateral Entry:-
- Passed Minimum three years / two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any branch of Engineering and Technology. OR
- Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. OR
- Passed D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. (The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc.,
Admission Details
- The admission to the first 50% of the seats shall be made on the basis of merit/rank/score obtained in JEE (Main) of the corresponding year. The remaining 50% of seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (hereinafter referred to as HPCET) of the corresponding year.
- In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of JEE(Main) and HPCET, the remaining seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of the 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board or university.
- The number of seats that remain vacant to be filled on the basis of each test/examination will be shifted and filled on the basis of the next text/examination in continuous order.
