Regarding your query I would like to inform you that being a General-UR aspirant it's little difficult for you to get chance in this renowned institution with this performance in JEE MAIN. Because according to previous year's cutoff informations of this eminent instituion, the last qualifying rank in Computer Science and Engineering department was 14268 and in case of Information Technology'department it was 16261 where your rank is far behind than these.

We all know that the cut-off marks vary each year depending on several important factors like:

• Number of appeared canditates
• Number of qualifying candidates

If one wants to compare between these two then iit jodhpur mechanical must be chosen first as one does not wants to loose the iit tag , its prestigious. Also both are new colleges are fully equipped with excellent faculty and infrastructure . Placements are also quite good . Major recruiters in iit jodhpur mechanical includes hero motocorp, TATA , maruti suzuki ,etc .

Both the institutes are pretty new. Secondly, I believe since you are getting Mechanical also, you shouldnt let go of the IIT Tag. Choose IIT jodhpur Mechanical.

If the choice was between institutes like IIT jodhpur and IIIT Allahabad or NIT Trichy, then maybe decision could be taken otherwise.

One of the best things in IIT Jodhpur is the newly developed infrastructure and Air Conditioned Hostels. Rajasthan being somewhat near to Industrial Districts in Delhi, NCR, Gujrat, Punjab and Haryana further ensure good placements in core branches.As far as Mechanical is concerned Tata Motors, Hero Motocorp,Maruti Suzuki are regular recruiters.

All these are really top ranked universities and hence the course to be taken matters. Out of all these, I would suggest that IIT Cse would be really on the top since IITs are the top most ranked universities of the country. The universities are good as well. But the IIIT Lucknow is also very good. Hence I would rate these universities as follows: IITs CSE, IIIT Lucknow, NIT Raipur and then BITS Dual Degree.

Infrastructure and college life:

IITs have a good infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.

Fa culty and quality of education:

All the faculties are qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the theoretical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.

Placements:

Placements are  good as good companies visit this college. students gets placed and opportunities of internship is provided to the students from companies.

With a rank of around 19,000 in the general ews category, it becomes difficult to procure a seat in iiit allahabad or iiit lucknow as the closing ranks were around 2,500 for Allahabad and 3,000 was the closing rank for IIIT Lucknow under home state quota. Yet, you may apply for other colleges that accept admission based on jee score. However, you can predict the colleges which you were likely to get using the below mentioned link:

Hello Manideepak917 , Both IIITs are best but if we choose one then IIIT lucknow is one of the best in placement, infrastructure, facilities and all so I suggest you to go for IIIT lucknow for CSE.

Coding environment at IIIT Lucknow is quite good, so if you are interested in CS/IT, you should definitely prefer IIIT Lucknow.

Also, average package as mentioned by IIIT Lucknow on their website is quite high in comparison to PEC.

The only thing in favour of PEC is that it's quite old and established. So as per me IIIT Lucknow>PEC Chandigarh.

Considering 2020 rankings for Engineering colleges, IIIT Lucknow is not ranked. And talking about IIIT Gwalior and NIT Kurukshetra.

1. NIT Kurukshtra is ranked 40
2. IIITM Gwalior is ranked 100

There are many factors which are considered during the ranking, but since you are getting  CSE/IT in IIITM Gwalior which are the 2 most preferred branches, then its your choice, go through the subjects of all 3 branches, and decide whether you want to go with the "NIT" tag or with CSE/IT branch.

As you have secured 64000 rank in JEE mains 2020 from general category then there is no chance that you can get IIIT Lucknow. Even with this much general category rank you cannot get good branches of HBTI Kanpur .

But as you belong from onc category then there if a chance that you can get hbti Kanpur but you will not get iiit Lucknow.

A rank of 100500 is a it low. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IIITs also would be a bit tough. There might be some chances of you getting into newer NITs such as NIT Andhra Pradesh or NIT Pondicherry into courses that are relatively lesser in demand such as metallurgy.

There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities. But due to the high competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities.
