Hi, I am in final year of my B.Tech and got a call from IIM Kozhikode. With no work experience, can I expect to get placed from IIMK ?

Hello, saurau

Yes you can be placed in IIM Kozhikode. Because the weightage for work experience is 5% as the institute alloted in the selection process.only full-time remunerative work experience after graduation is considered. Project/internship are not considered which were done at the time of graduation .A candidate work experience should be 6months after the graduation.

There is a chance of 95% for you to be placed in that institute and hope for good.

CAT 2018 percentile is 98.65. Class X, XII and B.Tech. 95%, 92.6% and 74.7%. GEM and workex is 19M as on Jan 2019. Can I expect IIMI, IIMK?

As per your academic profile and work experience, there is a very good chance that you may get shortlisted for Written Ability & Personal Interview rounds of IIM I, IIM K and CAP rounds as well.

Apply for other good colleges like IIT B, IIT D & FMS Delhi.

How good is the coaching in Trichy IIM when compared with IIM Kozhikode?

Well, see the thing is that its very difficult to compare between these two colleges as both these colleges are top colleges and we have a mixed review from the alumnis who have studies there Both the colleges are equally good at their own places so ot depends on you how you adapt the environment and train yourself and try to gain most of the knowledge from your college.

I have 90% in 10th, 96% in 12th and 7.8 CGPA in BCOM... How much should I score in CAT 2018 to get a call from the top IIMs?

Hi Aspirant,
Well,this depends.
Last year,IIM Calcutta had the cutoff of 90 percentile for the general category. (This basically means the last candidate from this category who got a call had this percentile).
Since,all the IIM's are focusing to increase the diversity in their classrooms and the weightage changing,it's very difficult to actually predict a safe score.
However,academics can never be totally neglected and definitely scoring in the 95+ percentile range does become a must for safety.And for top IIM's and FMS ,this goes as high as 98+ percentile.
So,try to score the maximum marks you can to stand the best chance to acquire a seat.

Minimum 90 percentile is cutoff marks under CAT for receiving call for admission at IIm Kozhokode.

Also sectiinal cutoff is 80 percentile in CAT ubder General category.

What are the kind of interview questions asked in IIM L & IIM K?

Hi Sayantan! As per the experiences shared by students of IIMs, especially Lucknow and Kozhikode, the interviews are generally conversation based. The initial questions are about introducing yourself, why you want to pursue MBA, why do you want to join this particular institute etc. Your answers will direct the interview further. Dates for interview in iim kozhikode and iim indore

There are no fixed dates for interviews of any IIMs. Dates varies according to your interview location. If you have selected interview location as Delhi than your interview will be held only when the professors team must be coming to Delhi to take interview with 3-4 days slot. Again these slots depends on the number of candidates needs to be interviewed in that city.

This whole process of interview starts from the end of January month to the March month. And there is no benefit of having an interview way or late because in the end with the weightages of all the parameters a final merit list will be made after all interviews have been taken. And then the admission process will start.

If you have been shortlisted for second round of interview and WSAT then you would have also got the mail regarding the date of interview and the venue of your interview. This happens individually so keep checking for the results and your personal mail for further information.

College Infrastructure

IIMK has a wide campus with modern facilities for the interactive learning of students. Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, hostel, sports, medical, etc., facilities were available for the students. The quality of the offered facilities was good. The quality of the hostel facilities was also good enough.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of IIMK was well maintained and developed. Facilities offered to our course students were good enough. For the students' academics and knowledge development, various modern facilities such as the library, computer labs, Wi-Fi, projectors, etc. were provided here in the college. Hostel facility was available for the students. All the facilities of the college were of good quality. Multiple sports facilities were available in the college for the students.
