24 MonthsThe Department of Earth Sciences, IIT Bombay offers a new two year M.Sc. Programme in Applied Geophysics, for which the first batch of students will be admitted through JAM 2005. Geophysics is a branch of Earth Sciences which employs physical measurement and mathematical models to explore the earth and it’s surroundings. The Geophysics programmeme is designed to build mathematical and analytical skills, build theoretical knowledge in Geophysical fields, develop application and interpretation skills through laboratories and develop ability to carry out independent field measurements.

The college atmosphere is quite good

There is 100Mbps speed Wi-Fi, highly equipped labs, a fully air conditioning classrooms with both blackboard and projectors, more than over 150k books of chemistry in library and a lot of books available a well in the campus.Mess food is average sometimes worst.medical store is also not near by.But environment is very good here.
