Thank you for your query. The internship if you are doing a B ed Course in IGNOU is around 2-3 months. Interning in a school for students pursuing B ed as it will be the future career you will be pursuing and it will not hamper your studies.

Lateral Entry to IGNOU has been stopped in 2005. Even the official website doesn't speak about any Lateral Entry for MCA. IGNOU offers 3 year BA Psychology. You should have completed your 12th to be eligible for this Course. The maximum period one can complete this course is 6 years. You can apply for LEET which is a entrance exam for lateral entry. You can go for BArch lateral entry.
It is conducted once a year.
Syllabus for different branch is different so you have to prepare accordingly to your branch syllabus.
Prepare your best to secure atleast 80%

IGNOU has a large and well-planned main campus in New Delhi that reflects its status as India’s biggest open university. The headquarters is spread over a vast area with administrative blocks, academic buildings, a central library, auditoriums, and research centres. The campus environment is generally calm and organised, giving it a serious academic feel rather than a lively college vibe. Facilities like libraries, computer labs, and seminar halls are functional and suited for academic and administrative work. However, since IGNOU mainly follows a distance-learning model, most students do not regularly use the main campus. The real experience depends heavily on regional and study centres, which vary in quality. Some centres are well maintained with clean classrooms, computer facilities, and helpful staff, while others have limited infrastructure and fewer amenities. Campus life, hostels, and extracurricular activities are minimal compared to regular universities. IGNOU’s infrastructure is designed more for accessibility and scale than for student life.
