JIS University, Kolkata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The JIS University offers comprehensive hostel facilities for boys separately within the University Campus and off campus. They have been designed to provide a comfortable, safe, inclusive, and secure living even as they provide opportunities to form lasting friendships and ease the transition from home to college. 

The JIS University Kolkata offers comprehensive hostel facilities for girls separately within the University Campus and off campus. Residential staff is always available to support the students from different backgrounds to promote community.

The JIS University Kolkata is an integral part of the Institute since its establishment in 2015 to cater to the academic requirement of the students and faculty members. The JIS University Central Library is well equipped with modem facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the form of online databases, micro-documents, books, journals, reports and others.

The JIS University Kolkata has sports facilities for all students. Cricket, badminton, chess, carroms, hockey and many others are availed for the students to participate. 

The JIS University has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students that includes wifi, computer laboratories and internet facilities. 

The JIS University Kolkata is having a tidy and hygienic canteen which is important for student's health. The canteen is having a spacious sitting place and decorated walls. It is the right place for refreshments and to relax the budding intellectuals.

The JIS University has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. Auditorium has state of art infrastructure with good seating arrangements where cultural, academic and non academic events are conducted. 

The JIS University Kolkata has good networking for the alumni association.

The JIS University has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff. This facility helps the students to upload and download the necessary files as and when needed. 

The JIS University Kolkata state-of-the-art laboratory is well equipped with high-end Machines, Servers, and other various systems required for a fully functional Laboratory. Departmental laboratories are equipped with the necessary instruments and facilities required for carrying out day-to-day practical classes and research work.

The JIS University has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. This facility can be availed by the sick students. 

The JIS University Kolkata campus also has a gym for the students equipped with modern equipment that are safe to use for the students so that they may engage in meaningful physical activities as well.

The JIS University has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. This facility can be availed by the studnets parents whenever events are conducted.

Training, Placement, and Career Guidance occupy a key position in the image-enhancing and brand-building department of the University. The JIS University Training and Placement cell inculcates career guidance, student development, entrepreneurship initiatives, internships, and placement activities for the all-round betterment of the student community.

Extracurricular activities or extracurricular activities are performed by students, that fall outside the realm of the normal curriculum of JIS University Kolkata education. Students being involved in extracurricular activities reduces the likelihood of dropping out of studies, likelihood of committing a criminal offense, and leads to higher educational success and achievements in their careers.

These two clubs have been set up in the University with the sole aim and purpose of honing and encouraging the photography and drama skills of the students.  The JIS University Kolkata actively encourages these skills in the students by organising regular contests, exhibitions, and shows of such drama and photography by the students.

The JIS University Kolkata also has Smart Classrooms for the students. Classrooms are spacious ventilated and are equipped with pedagogy techniques.
