Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is a four-year (8 Semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered by National Institute of Technology Silchar.

The Department of Electronics & communication offers B. Tech programme in Electronics & communication Engineering covering modern communication and software technologies. Keeping in mind the great potential and demand for new communication technologies, the Department aims at imparting its students with the latest knowledge in the field. To complement this the Department has well-stocked laboratories housing various modern equipment to enable the students to keep pace with the fast-changing technology.

Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

Admission Details

Admissions to the first semester of all Undergraduate courses are made on the basis of seats allocated by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) from the list of candidates selected by all India JEE (Main). Besides, a specified number of foreign nationals/NRIs selected under the policy laid down by Govt. of India, are admitted directly to the 1^st year of the courses.

College Infrastructure

Nit silchar has a large, green and peaceful campus with decent academic buildings, labs, library hostels and sports facilities. The campus is designed in a manner to suffice. All basic student needs. However, the campus is not Modernly designed , but it provides a great learning space for students

College Infrastructure

NIT Silchar has a beautiful green campus spread over a large area with lakes, academic buildings, well-equipped laboratories, central library, hostels, sports complex, gym, health centre, bank, post office and shopping facilities. Classrooms are modern and the overall infrastructure is excellent for academics and student life.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is good not excellent as it is a very old college( built in 1960's) so not as good as private colleges but it is ok campus is very big and there is no issue in hostels or classes they are comfortable enough.They provide all the basic facilities to students.Hostels are cleaned almost everyday.Classrooms are occupied with smart boards and well maintained benches.
