BE Electronics and Communication Engineering is a full-time four-year course offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh and Approved by AICTE

The department has excellent research facilities in the core and emerging areas of Electronics and Communication like Embedded systems, VLSI Design, Photonics, and Optical Communication, Wireless Communication, Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, etc. The department is one of the best in the institute having highly qualified faculty and expertise in these areas. The department has always strived to inculcate the very best in students so that they can face the challenges offered to them by the industry. The preeminence of the department can be understood by the ever increasing demand of its fresh graduates. Close interaction with the industry has led to the evolution of a teaching system, which produces diligent and erudite engineers. Eligibility Criteria

The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./PwD), conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council. The detailed 45 procedure and other requirements for admission are specified in the Admission Brochure brought out every year.

Admission Details

Admissions to the B.Tech. programmes are made once a year in July based on rank in JEE- (Main), conducted on an All India level by CBSE.

College Infrastructure

Though overall infra of PEC is not even considerable, just old buildings and campus is done. But I am in ECE, our department is very good and well furnished, ECE labs are also well maintained and newly made, Everything is available in our branch department, but other departments don't have basic things and are poorly maintained like Civil, Mech departments are poorest departments of PEC, you will not say these are departments of Tier-1 College. Mess food is kind of okay

College Infrastructure

The college has a great infrastructure with the campus spread over an area of 150 acres. There are different labs for different streams which are well equipped with all the necessary instruments. Also there is a separate academic block for each department.

College Infrastructure

Yes the college has all the necessary infrastructure and other amenities. Department labs are well equipped. The gymnasium and other sport fields are properly maintained and used well. Living spaces and food available is hygienic.
