Ph.D Computer Science and Applications at REVA University Bangalore Offline Course

Any candidate who satisfies the following conditions is eligible to seek registration for Ph.D. in Computer Science and Applications in a School of Computer Science and Applications upon application for provisional registration.

• A candidate shall have Masters Degree (MCA, M Sc in Computer Science, Information Science and M S in Computer Science) or any other Degree / Diploma of the University or any other Degree / Diploma of any other University / Institution recognized as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or an equivalent Grade ) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by the approved Assessment and Accreditation Agency. However, a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/Cat.-I/OBC (non-creamy layer) /differently-abled and other categories of candidates.
• Candidates who have cleared the M. Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completed the M. Phil. Degree.
• A candidate shall be guided by a Research Guide of REVA University in the concerned subject
• In case where the research of a candidate is inter/ multi-disciplinary in nature, the candidate may opt for a Co-guide (External) who shall also be the recognized Guide of the University in the concerned subject. However, the main responsibility of supervising the research work is vested with the Guide and the candidate shall finalize and submit the thesis through the Guide giving due acknowledgment and credit to the Co-guide which shall also be mentioned in the PhD Notification by the Registrar (Evaluation) after successful completion of PhD.
