UPES and SRM are a good comparison, but you cant clearly say that one is definitely better than the other. Its rather a close call.

Why SRM :

SRM have a better crowd and living atmosphere, better college life, more exposure and better teaching as compared to UPES. Another plus point for SRM would be much superior Infrastructure, especially in terms of the computer science department. Also, I guess they have a better fee structure lesser expenses.

Why UPES :

Here they definitely have a good placement record. There are lots and lots of companies that come for CS students’ recruitment. CS students usually leave after the degree with happy faces. So much so for getting your first job (i’m not too positive on the packages per-annum provided ). But that’s not a deal breaker.

SRM University comes in one of the good University for engineering with NAAC A++ ranking and with a beautiful campus spread across 250 acres SRM University offers more placement opportunities in Computer Science and Engineering which is the top branch in this university among all the branches of Engineering, if you are going for it then you should first find out opportunities of colleges which are  much better than SRM then ultimately you can go for SRM University if your chances to clear JEE mains are less,if you want to know more about SRM University then you can go with the provided link:

SRM college is quite popular for its placements in terms of CSE. Also, there are many facilities available there such as wifi, computer labs, IT section etc. However all these facilities are available in jaypee Institute also, but at the end it all depends on the placement opportunities provided to students.

All the colleges you compared are very good colleges and have A grade given by NAAC and have a good rating to all the colleges and all the colleges you compared is good for the computer science engineering  department and ranking based on rating i want to give is1. symbiosis 2.manipal university3.KIIT 4.SRM university and all the colleges have good placements and good infrastructure in their colleges and also they conduct project orientated programmes and you can prefer colleges based on above ranking i have mentioned and have good in aplitude and communication skills.All the best and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

I will suggest you to go for UPES, If u would have asked for cse or it departments, i would have surely suggested SRM. Bt for mechanical, civil or electrical engineering don't even think about srm. Faculty is not that good and bad placement.There is only one benefit in srm that is, even if u r an average student, u’ll surely graduate with 8-8.5 + cgpa. But i don't think cgpa matters more for a core branch. If u are giving ur four valueable years and are investing 12 lacs+ rupees and getting good cgpa, u will atleast expect a job with good package.

So my suggestion is to opt upes over srm.

Both the Colleges are good And have a good ratings. But when compared to college life and infrastructure, people's education society is much more better then SRM university. PES has a great Infrastructure, faculty and placement opportunity. Now, many of them reviewed that SRM university is good at studies but a horrible college in matters of college life and PES has reviewed with all positive feedbacks. So, choosing PES will be a great option

SRM Institute of Science and Technology admission 2020 is based on SRMJEEE (and SRMJEEM ) for admission to Engineering and Management courses, respectively. Admission to UG-level medical courses at SRM takes place on the basis of marks obtained in NEET exam and admission to other UG and PG courses are usually merit-based. The application process for SRM IST is both online and offline, and final admission to all the programmes is granted based on a valid score/ rank obtained in the entrance or merit scores obtained in the qualifying exam followed by a counselling process.

UG Courses

• Admission to BTech at SRMIST is based on a valid rank in SRMJEEE (UG)
• SRMIST Chennai also offers direct admission to first rank holders of all the Central and state boards in India, top 1,000 rankers in IIT JEE, top rankers in each district of Tamil Nadu and exemplary sportsperson of national and international level
• For BArch, admission is completely based on a valid rank obtained in NATA (JMain Paper-II)
• A valid score in SRMJEEH (UG) is considered for admission to a few more UG courses such as BPharm, BPT, BOT, BSc (Nursing), PharmD, BSc (MIT), BSc (RDT) and BSc (MLT)
• Final selection to BDes in Interior Design is based on a valid score in UCEED  score followed by a written test and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by SRM IST. Candidates not having a UCEED score are selected only via written test and PI conducted by SRM IST. However, those with a valid score in UCEED exam are preferred.
• Final selection to BA LLB (Hons) and BCom LLB (Hons) is subject to a valid score in CLAT  / LSAT   exam
• Admission to MBBS and BDS programmes is based on a valid score in NEET UG  exam
