Hello,

You need to give the entrance examination of SRM university the SRMJEE to get into the SRM college. For 2020 the application form of SRMJEE are out already and you can fill the form till 29 March,2020 and the correction window in the application form will start from first week of April and the booking of the examination slots and centers will also start from first week of April.

The SRMJEE will be conducted in online mode from 12th to 20th of April 2020 and the result will be declared in the 2nd week of May. Then you will be called for Counselling for the college campus and branch.

The best thing about SRM is it offers is huge placements are offered, In which more than 500 companies come. Mainly from IT, field placements are given. For placements starting salary is 10,000 and up to 41 lakh per year package is given so far.

Alumni is not so coordinated in the college but helps the students for getting jobs and for further studies.

Faculty members are of good qualification and selected by interviews and other process.

Hostel facility is really good and the food is nice, compared with other colleges in Chennai.
Fees are affordable but are a little expensive. College gives Scholarships for top rankers in the entrance exam.

All together college has good ambience and conducts a lot of activities which is really good.

From my research, some of the bad comments about college were on the teaching of some of the faculty members. Also, placements are more in the IT field and other streams have somewhat average placement.

Also, the climate in Tamilnadu is extreme hot, which may be difficult for some of the students.

SRM UNIVERSITY is said to be one of the top universities with an attractive infrastructure, campus and hard working faculty. If compared to colleges like BITS, VIT and some government colleges, its faculty is not the best but gives great competition to these colleges. Anyhow, it depends on the student too on how they perform, college is not about spoon feeding, it is about learning in one's own.

see srm university is the best university after iits or nits or any other government state university like jadavpur university, iiest shivpur, nsit delhi, bits pilani etc.

I am currently studying in SRM main campus chennai. The academic fee is 3.5 lakh per annum and 1.2lakh for the hostel for 2 in 1 room ,and 1 lakh for 3 in 1 room for non AC . fee is double for AC rooms . If you score the rank below 10000 your academic fee will be 2.1 lakh per annum .

The total fees for B. TECH computer Science and engineering in SRM UNIVERSITY, chennai is 10 Lakhs.
