Before giving the answer to your question I would like to discuss the eligibility criteria for B.tech course at SRM.
To be eligible student should have passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS. Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa. GCE A-level or International Baccalaureate(IB) diploma or IB certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects (equivalent to Advanced Placement level in each subject) in any International schools within India.
Now coming back to your question, please do correct the aggregate total in three subjects i.e Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry should be 50% instead of what you've mentioned 60%. You can confirm the same by visiting the official website: http://www.srmuniv.ac.in/admission-india/engineering/admission-procedure-eligibility

Hey Rishita,
Accordingly, SRM SONEPAT is well known university for its best exposure or placements. Particularly in IT AND CE branch the highest package goes upto 25 to 30 lakhs per year which is really a good startup. Hope you find it useful.
Thank you.
Greetings Akash!
Hope you're doing great.
Yes, indeed management quota seat is available at SRM. However, you do need to attend the SRMJEE entrance examination or score a decent score in other engineering examinations. Let me decode things for you. Suppose you're aiming for computer science branch of SRM college then there are almost 4000 seats available for the students. Now. the university has combined the IT and other branches into CS it attracts many students. There will be a people who had scored great in their Entrance examination and if they apply for the admission they will get the seat without any hesitation. Then come those who score fewer marks and still wants to get admitted in that case they can take admission through management quota entry. The fact is they have to pay an extra fee for the same score than their companions. If you are going for management quota in SRM main campus the fee for CSE is 3.6 lac per annum. It is about 2 times the fee paid by a student who enters the college through merit. For rank holders greater than 10, 000 it is Rs 3.5L tuition fees for one yr and below 10, 000 rank holders its Rs 2.5L for one year.
It is pretty good decision to take Management seat in CSE or ECE if ur rank is not good. ECE, CS etc branch of SRM KTR Campus is way much better than any other SRM Campus. A bag full of Companies come in ECE, CS dept. to give engineers a job.
Ultimately, the choice is yours if you want entry to the college through merit or management quota. One thing you need to understand that the course will remain the same for everyone and if you think you can perform well after taking the admission then it should be your instinct of taking that action. SRM may deny they provide admission through management quota and they have the reason for the same.
