Hello Anurag,

Go to the SRM website. Click on Admissions India and then on Online enrolment. Fill in your personal details first and then click on the Cancel Menu. You will have to upload a scanned copy of the fee receipt you must have got at the time of admission on the counselling day. In addition you are required to upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque and a self declaration signed by the student and the parent. The declaration can also be downloaded on a click imbedded in the Cancel page itself. Thereafter you will receive a copy of acceptance of cancellation. Save it or keep a print out with you for future. Once this is done, courier the original provisional admission letter and receipt to SRM. Meanwhile they will process your refund, which will take a minimum of 15 days. This is the process I followed yesterday, since their phone lines don't work at all and you can leave endless voice messaged with nobody returning the call ever. Hope this helps. Try your luck!

I think yes you can get CSE as there are more than 1000 seats in SRM University for CSE branch.
  • Just participate in the counselling now,you will surely get CSE.
  • Try to choose the SRM main campus which is in Chennai.
  • SRM is good University but only the main campus is worth joining it.
  • I also got around 8 thousand rank in SRM but I took admission in IPU University.
  • You should also try to participate in VIT counselling if you have given VITEEE.
  • SRM Chennai is better than any other campus because it is the main campus.
  • SRM University is also among the top 30 Engineering Colleges in India.
I will suggest you to take the branch which inspires you more and you are also interested in it.
SRM placement is also good many companies with good placement packages visit it.
You will get good infrastructure and faculties there.
Best of luck for your admissions.

Hi Yashwanthi,

Both the branches have their own importance, they are both required in industries, you have to choose branch according to your interest, both the branches are equally better.

Hello Avishkar,

Congratulations for getting such a good rank in both the entrance exams KIITEE and SRMJEEE .

I would recommend you to join KIIT rather than SRM university.

Placement is one of the advantages that KIIT offers since its inception .It has an impeccable record in campus placement. KIIT has always been much favored talent hunting ground for corporate world as it delivers industry-ready students. A well organized placement team streamlines the recruitment process and students get the jobs of their choice.

Being a student of KIIT Deemed To Be University,I personally recommend you to join KIIT since it is best known for the placements in CSE.Every year various companies hire students offering them 8-30 lakhs of annual package. The university has well constructed and designed labs and facilities for the students.

The university is best in every aspect whether it is academics or other activities.
They have a very well designed campus and in the last few years ,it has improved many hostel rooms, classrooms, campus etc.Hostels are very neat & clean and the College campuses have beautiful sights. Here you can find food from every parts of India. The hostel food is much better than other universities.(though the weather might be annoying at times but still better than SRM!)In SRM there might be arise difficulties due to their weather ,language and cuisine.Communication becomes a problem there since most of the native people there prefer speaking in Tamil. You need to get acquainted with the Sour and Spicy food given. The faculties in KIIT are much better than those in SRM as I have heard from my friends studying in SRM.Overall KIIT is a college that anyone could ask for.

As far as ranking is concerned the most authentic one considered is the Official MHRD Ranking (National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India): MHRD, National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) In 2016, KIIT university got 32nd rank while SRM University campus didn’t even manage to get into top 100 university list.In 2017, SRM university ranks 35th position while KIIT University got 47th rank and now in 2018,SRM university ranks 41st position whereas KIIT ranks 42nd position. And also b oth are DEEMED Universities status wise.

Every private universities has students who come through donatation but here ,the number is way less than SRM.The fee structure of KIIT is also less  as compared to SRM.In overall comparison KIIT is a good university which has transparent system of education but in SRM condition isn’t the same.

I would suggest you to join KIIT University on these basis, however, whichever university you choose, it is upto the individual to perform and master the skills. After all it's you who is going to represent your Alma Mater.

Stay connected for further queries.

Hope this helps!

All the best!! !

Hii Shashank
It all depends upon your priorities in integrated course in LPU you will be saving one year and at the same time get much more employability skills and certificates due to your MBA
It is a good option as LPU offer a very good packages in past even students have grabbed 25 lakh p/a package as well
It has a dedicated placement cell and even Microsoft and Infosys comes here for placements
So the scope is good here average package from LPU is 3.6 lakh as well
So it's up-to you how you grab the oppurtunity

Hello Sumanth, to get any branch in SRM university candidate have to go through both the process , i.e jee exam and counselling. But if you were unable to attend counselling process , then no need to take tension. You can join this university with management quota. But go for it as early as possible , because delay will reduce you chance.

I hope it will help.

Thanks.

Hello Tushar,

The closing rank for CSE at VIT chennai is around 14k so the chances are less for you to get a seat there. You have a good rank in SRMJEE so you may opt SRM main campus itself.CSE is the most opted branch in that campus and also the infrastructure, facilities and placements are very good.Comparing with SRM main campus, the fees is lower in VIT Chennai but the ratings and reviews are better for SRM main campus(Kattankulathur).

Do find the comparison of the two colleges in the link provided below.

Hope this helps.

All the best!!!

Hello Aspirant,

You may opt the main campus(Kattankulathur) itself for ECE.The course reviews, rankings and ratings are better than the other campuses. The Infrastructure, hostel facilities, mess food and campus life are good and the branch achieves also good placements each year. The avergae package is around 3.6 LPA.If you have a good CGPA and if you put in some effort you can land in an MNC easily.

For more details about this campus do refer the below provided link.

All the best!!!

Hello sir,

As you are aware of the fact that counselling process is done to secure you a seat and choice of the branch is made on the same day.

I understand your concern as you even have a good rank in SRMJEE. But just contacting the college over phone call or mailing them to their help desk won't do you much good. I would instead recommend you to visit the main campus as soon as you can and have a chat with the authorities stating them your situation.

But keep in mind, you would have negligible chance of getting into their main campus (the best), but you have pretty high chances in getting branch like NCR.

Hope it cleared your query!!

hii

you need not go to management with 29k you will definately get CSE in main campus in case if you miss you will surely get Ramapuram campus but try to get Kathakukur ca,pus only its best there

all the best
