Actually no.the place where you get is based upon the rank you get.
But still if you get good score you can apply for counselling there itself and if get decent score then you will get automatically in amaravathi.
So,you need to be carefull during the time of counselling.

SRM University eligibility officially for 4 year and 5 year courses is as folows :-

For admission to UG courses, candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent in relevant stream from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.

Vit and srm are incloud in top 20 engineering college of india?

Hii Tirth,

yes VIT comes under top 20 Engineering college of India.

but SRM doesn't.

The NIRF(National Institutional Ranking Framework.) of VIT is 16.

The NIRF(National Institutional Ranking Framework.) of SRM is 46.

There is separate entrance called SRMJEE for getting admission in SRM university. They doesn't care about any other entrance exam scores.SRM University does not consider your JEE MAINs scores for their admission process.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is a mix of scale and maintenance issues. While the campus is vast, the labs often have outdated hardware that struggles with resource-heavy AI/ML workloads. Classroom facilities like Wi-Fi are inconsistent, which is frustrating for a CS student. The sports facilities exist but are often overcrowded. While the campus looks good on paper, the day-to-day utility of the labs and the hygiene of common living spaces need significant improvement to match the "premier" branding.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is quite good and supports a comfortable learning environment.
