SRM Institute of Technology does not provide lateral Entry admission for Diploma Graduates. It offers 4 year B.Tech and the eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies as major subjects. The candidate must score minimum 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. You are not eligible to apply for admission in SRM University as you haven't studied 10+2. There is no provision to get admission to 2nd year B.Tech through lateral Entry. You need to seek admission in any other college.

I hope you are doing good . With reference to your query, I would glad to tell you that  for cse vit chennai campus would be a much better option than srm ktr campus. Except for mess which is little average ,everything is great in vit chennai campus. VIT chennai has very very well organized bulidings and highly secure for students with very dedicated coding culltute due to large number of technical fest held every year. Even teachers are mosltly from south who are very intelligent. Placement scenario is same in almost all companies

The both colleges which you have mentioned ie, SRM Institute and Kongunadu arts and science college both are quite impressive colleges and has a great remarks, so there is no such major deference between both the colleges in term of selection now its only depends on you that for which particular course you are looking for and what are the most benefits you can get between both of them. So this will make your choice little bit easier.

Dear candidate, based on previous year cutoffs, rank under 60000 in SRMJEE will be safe to get CSE in Amravati campus. However, cutoffs may change due to reasons:

• Difficulty level of paper
• Number of candidates appearing
• Number of seats in college

If your rank is under 30000 , you will holds very high chances of getting admission in srmap campus . As you have mentioned that you have missed the counselling of srmjeee and now you want to attend the 2nd phase of SRM to get admission in cse branch.

You have to score a good rank in order to get cse this time. And note this you will get your specified branch if and only if the seats in the college are vacant.

If you wanted to know this college ie, Kattankulathur SRM which is SRM institute fo Science and Technology than it is a prestigious college and has a great infrastructure. So mow talking about your rank it is quite impressive and there is a high chance gor ECE and IT only you will get little difficulty in CSE due to its huge popularity so it increases its marks so this will help you making your decision wisely.

If money is not the case then you should definitely go to Vellore Institute of technology over SRM, KTR. While choosing college several measures are kept in mind which include placements, ranking, coding culture, infrastructure and better return of investments. VIT edges over SRM in all the the parameters by a handsome margin except ROI because the the fees for Category 4 in VIT is around 4.5 lacs per annum while it is is 2.5 lacs per annum in SRM.

Vellore institute of technology ranks 15 in nirf engineering rankings while that of SRM is 43. The the average package for Computer science and engineering at VIT is above 7 lacs per annum and that of SRM is around 4.5 to 5 lacs.

The choice is yours, but remember SRM also provides good opportunities it is upon you to grab a good one.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) Ramapuram campus was founded in 2004. SRMIST, previously known as SRM University, is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). There is no phase 3 for SRMJEE. It has only two phases, Phase 1 and Phase 2. The slot booking process, entrance exam has been commenced for both these phases. The results are expected to be released by July 5, 2021. Phase 3 does not exist in SRMJEE which is conducted by SRM Institute of Technology.
