I won't say that the placement scenario is as grand as the CS and IT people. The packages are okay to good, and placement success is about 60-80%

The companies that come have high criteria and expectations from the students so only the good ones with the right amount of knowledge and the other things considered are chosen.

One of the main criteria is having no backlogs.

Due to which those who have backlogs get screwed. 

All in all, I'd rather say study properly and avoid backlogs in any college you're in and get as much knowledge as you can, academic and extra, you'll be able to land a job in the placements, if not, don't worry cuz not every company comes to the college, there are still a lot of them out there in the market.

Symbiosis Pune is a reputed college and has a good placement history. Depending on the different Institutes of the Symbiosis International University placement rates vary.

Placements at SIBM are as high as 90% while SIT  is known for placement at companies like Amazon, Google, IBM, HP, Indian Army, Indian Navy and go as high as 14.5 lakhs to 22 lakhs per annum.

SLS had an average package of 8.5 lakhs per annum and highest package of 15 lakhs per annum for academic year 2015–2016. SIMC had a placement rate of 95% for the 2014–2016 batch and highest pacakge offered in Journalism was 7lakhs per annum.

As a whole Symbiosis offers Good Placements at all its Institutes.
