Eligibility Criteria

BE/BTech programmes:

Admission to BE/BTech programs shall be made on the basis of prescribed criteria of JEE Main – 2024 and 10+2 PCM. Applicants are required to fill application form one time only and on the basis of single application form, they can seek admission through any mode, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as per the details hereunder:

The candidate

i. Has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical

Vocational subject*.

ii. has appeared in JEE Main – 2025.

iii. possesses a good moral character.

iv. is a citizen of India.

v. has passed 10+2 examination in 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025.

Admission Details

The admission shall be made on the All India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main – 2025.

College Infrastructure

Thapar University has a modern and well-maintained campus with smart classrooms, advanced laboratories and high-end research facilities. Hostels are clean and comfortable with good amenities. The library is excellent with digital access and vast resources. Overall, the campus gives a premium learning environment with strong technical support.

College Infrastructure

Thapar has a modern and well-maintained campus with good hostel facilities and a clean environment. Classrooms are air-conditioned and labs are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The library is spacious and has a good collection of books.

College Infrastructure

There is also a food festival and an Urja event, which are very famous. Thapar University has a central library named New Nalanda Library, which is a very mesmerizing and aesthetic piece of infrastructure constructed with the help of international architecture. The central library has a lot of books and journals, as well as a very specific sitting and reading area with barcode security. There are lots of dongs roaming around the university, which is annoying.
