Academics at Thapar are highly structured and industry oriented. Faculty members are knowledgeable and focus on concept clarity, projects and research-based learning. Regular evaluations, assignments and presentations help students stay competitive. The curriculum is updated and supports innovation, coding, and core engineering skills effectively.
College Infra
Thapar University has a modern and well-maintained campus with smart classrooms, advanced laboratories and high-end research facilities. Hostels are clean and comfortable with good amenities. The library is excellent with digital access and vast resources. Overall, the campus gives a premium learning environment with strong technical support.
Placements
Thapar has a strong placement record with top companies visiting every year, including MNCs and core engineering firms. Average and highest packages are quite good compared to most private colleges. Students with strong coding, projects and internships get excellent offers. The placement cell provides full support and training.

Academics
Great in terms of academics. College labs have all the facility required for conducting engineering both from an undergraduate level or from a research Point of View. Classrooms are well equipped and teachers are highly knowledgeable.
College Infra
Great infrastructure with amazing labs, world class state of the art classrooms, good sporting facilities and great hostels and mess food. Well connected to the city with railway station and bus stand within walking distance from college campus
Campus Life
College life is awesome. Lots of places to go to nearby. Its a big lush green campus with lots of free space available to roam and enjoy the college environment. Moreover it is well connected to Patiala city and Chandigarh as well.
Placements
Placements are actually good with respect to the tier of college Thapar is. Lots of opportunities available throughout the year and placement cell is extremely generous with their rules and regulations.
Value For Money
Decent value for money. It is slowly declining with its high fees. Affordability can be a big question going forward. Nonetheless the college presents a lot of opportunities to get a good placement and redeem the fees. It costed me around 17 lakhs in 2022

The academic curriculum is updated and industry-oriented. Most faculty members are experienced and helpful. Regular assignments, tests, and practicals keep students engaged. Coding culture is strong, especially in CS-related branches.
College Infra
Thapar has a modern and well-maintained campus with good hostel facilities and a clean environment. Classrooms are air-conditioned and labs are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The library is spacious and has a good collection of books.
Campus Life
Campus life is vibrant with many fests, clubs, and events. Students enjoy good freedom and a balanced academic-social life. The crowd is diverse and friendly, and overall student life is active and engaging.
Placements
Placements are impressive, especially for CS, IT, and ECE branches. Many top companies visit, including Microsoft, Amazon, and Deloitte. Average packages are around 7–9 LPA for top branches. Core branch placements are decent but less than CS.
Value For Money
Fee is on the higher side, but for CS and related branches, ROI is good. Scholarship options are available based on merit. Students benefit from the strong alumni network and industry exposure. It is overall good.
