Hello,

For a BCom (Hons) at Delhi University (DU), you must take one language from List A and a combination of three subjects from List B, with specific combinations like Language + Mathematics + any two from List B or Language + Accountancy + any two from List B being most common. For the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the subject combination for BCom (Hons) involves taking one language and three domain subjects related to commerce in the CUET exam.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hello,

For B.A Pol Science at Delhi University, you should take one language from List A and three domain subjects from Section II, which include Political Science, and at least one core list like History, Economics, or Sociology. The third domain subject can be from the core list or the secondary list.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello,

If you passed 12th without Math's from Maharashtra Board and now plan to take Math's through NIOS ODE, DU will accept it only for courses where Math's is required, provided it’s a valid board exam result.

For courses like BCom (Hons) or BSc, Mathes in 12th is compulsory; for Arts or general B.A., it’s not needed.

So, you’ll be eligible if:

  • You clear the NIOS Math's exam before admission, and

  • The course you choose requires or accepts Math's from any recognized board.

Hello,

For the DU SOL MBA first semester exam, you can study from these materials:

  1. DU SOL Study Material:
Download or collect the official study material from the DU SOL website or your study center. It covers all the topics in the syllabus.

  2. Recommended Books:
Use the books suggested in the syllabus or by your teachers. Authors like Philip Kotler (for Marketing) and Stephen P. Robbins (for Management) are good.

  3. Previous Year Question Papers:
Solve past papers to understand the exam pattern and important topics.

  4. Notes and Summaries:
Make short notes from your study material for quick revision before the exam.

  5. Online Sources:
Watch YouTube lectures or read free notes from trusted educational sites for better understanding.

These materials are enough to prepare well for your MBA 1st semester exam.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

Yes, both JNU and Delhi University are good options for pursuing an MPH (Master of Public Health). However, JNU has a more research-oriented and global approach, while Delhi University offers strong academics with good public health exposure.

Admission is usually based on CUET-PG or university entrance tests.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

Yes, a DU SOL Psychology student is eligible to appear for the CUET PG Psychology exam, provided you meet the basic eligibility criteria set by the participating universities. As per CUET PG rules, students who have completed or are in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university — including DU SOL (School of Open Learning) — can apply.

Your mode of study (regular or distance) does not affect your eligibility, as DU SOL is a UGC-recognized institution. Just make sure your graduation subject and percentage match the specific university eligibility criteria for MA. / MSC Psychology during admission.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

Yes, you can still get admission to universities like Delhi University (DU) even if you have to appear for a compartment exam. However, it depends on when your compartment result is declared. Most universities, including DU, require that you clear all your subjects and submit your final mark sheet before the admission deadline.

If your compartment result comes out after the admission process closes, you might not be eligible that year but you can apply in the next admission cycle. Many students face this situation, and universities do allow them to apply later once they’ve cleared the compartment.

So in short, yes having a compartment doesn’t stop you from getting into DU, as long as you pass the subject before admissions close and meet the cutoff.

Thank you

All the best

Hello Candidate,

Yes, you can do B.Com (Hons.) from DU SOL, but the university does not offer a combined B.Com + ACCA course.
If you want to study ACCA, you will have to apply separately through ACCA India or an approved institute.
DU SOL only offers the regular B.Com (Hons.) program after Class 12. Some other colleges offer B.Com with ACCA together, but DU SOL does not.
Therefore, you can complete your B.Com (Hons.) from DU SOL and pursue ACCA at the same time or late r , but both are separate programs.

Thank you
