CUET does not grant admission to the University of Hyderabad's Computer Science (CS) program. A five-year B.Tech + M.Tech program in computer science is offered by the university. You must take the JEE Main exam, not the CUET, in order to be admitted.

Additionally, you must have completed science courses in your 12th grade, including math, chemistry, and physics. Other courses, such as M.A. or M.Sc., use CUET, but not CS or engineering. Therefore, for CS, get ready for JEE Main rather than CUET.

With a 71 percentile in JEE Main and belonging to the SC category , your chances of securing admission to Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) at the University of Mumbai are limited.

• The qualifying cutoff for SC candidates in JEE Main 2024 was approximately 60.09 percentile .
• For B.Tech in Computer Engineering, the closing ranks for SC candidates in 2024 ranged from ~14,000 to ~19,000 across various affiliated colleges.

• Consider applying for branches with higher closing ranks, such as Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

• Look into private engineering colleges in Mumbai that accept JEE Main scores and have more flexible cutoff criteria.

• Participate in Maharashtra's state-level engineering entrance exams (e.g., MHT CET) for better opportunities.

Definitely, with 76.6% percentage in Class 12 board exams, you are eligible to apply for undergraduate(UG) programs at the University of Mumbai. The minimum marks for most courses is around 45%, but admission is merit-based but popular colleges often have higher cutoffs.
