The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in 1986 with a vision to provide a place for Innovation, Scientific Discovery and New Technology to evolve as a Center of Excellence for research and learning, integrating Computer and Information Sciences with Natural Sciences and Basic Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications:

A pass in HSC (Academic) with Maths, Physics and Chemistry

(OR)

A pass in HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering Vocational subjects and any one or two of related subjects (Maths, Physics and Chemistry)

(OR)

Diploma in one of the Engineering Courses (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics)

(OR)

Any other Equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education/Higher Secondary Board of Tamilnadu.

Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two appearances. Candidates belonging to SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than three appearances.

Minimum Marks:

For SC/ST candidates, a mere pass in the qualifying examination will suffice.

Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum percentage of marks.

A) H.S.C. (Academic) and other equivalent candidates

OC – 45% average in the related subjects
BC – 40% average in the related subjects
MBC I DNC – 40% average in the related subjects
SC/ST – 40% average in the related subjects

B) H.S.C. (Vocational) Candidates

OC – 45% average in the related subjects
BC – 40% average in the related subjects
MBC I DNC – 40% average in the related subjects
SC/ST – 40% average in the related subjects

C) Diploma Holders

OC – 45% average in the related subjects
BC – 40% average in the related subjects
MBC I DNC – 40% average in the related subjects
SC/ST – 40% average in the related subjects

College Infrastructure

Every department has its own dedicated building with advanced laboratories and workshops. The classrooms are well-furnished, and most of them are smart classrooms equipped with digital tools. The library is spacious and filled with both print and online resources that students can easily access. Hostels are well-maintained, with neat rooms and nutritious food. The college canteen serves affordable and hygienic meals. Sports and gym facilities are available for both indoor and outdoor games.

Hostel rooms are very clean and very spacious.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure gives an answer. Yes, It have all the necessary infrastructure,facility and equipments required. The classrooms have all the required facilities like WIFI, ACs , smart boards and the benches are well organised. All the books are available in the library. Equipments required for performing various practicals are available. The campus maintain a green and clean environment. The hostel and hostel mess is very hygienic. All the necessary requirements are well maintained.
