72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Genetics and Plant Breeding shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Guntur, and approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Eligibility Criteria
For admission into Doctoral courses, Master of science or an equivalent examination in Agriculture in the concerned field of specialization at least with 50% marks in the aggregate under the traditional system of examination or an OGPA of 3.25/4.00 (SC/ST-3.0/4.0) or 7.5/10.0 (SC/ST- 7.0/10.0) in the grade point system and the basic degree i.e., B.Sc (Ag) of 4 years duration from ANGRAU or any institution accredited by ICAR/approved by ANGRAU is essential
Admission Details
The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at the undergraduate level, post-graduate level, performance in the AICE (ICAR) test, and interview and would be in the ratio of 10:30:50:10.
