Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Pharmacy, Virudhunagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides four boys’ hostels with well-furnished rooms, electricity, and water supply. It also has dining facilities, recreation halls, reading resources, and medical support. Ambulance and emergency transport services are also available for hostel residents. 

The college offers three girls’ hostels equipped with comfortable accommodation, uninterrupted power and water supply, dining facilities, recreational area and safe environment for girls. 

The college campus has built a clinic on campus and appointed a male and a female doctor, and also sufficient medical attendants to attend to the physical problems of the campus community. Care has been taken to stack ample drugs and injections, and the other necessary items in the clinic. Around-the-clock ambulance service is also available on campus to shift the patients to the nearby multispecialty hospitals if there is a need.30 beds are also available for providing immediate treatment to the students. Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Pharmacy medical facility also provides a trained counselor who provides counselling to needy students.

The college has a modern gym for both Men and Women Students. The college gym is equipped with basic equipment to encourage students to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The college has good library facilities with several texts and reference books of national and international standards. To give the students the chance to look at the recent advances and research in science in general, and Pharmacy in particular, we provide several reputed national and international journals, both printed and digital.

The college has a sports facility and provides professional coaching in sports to students. It has 10.00 acres of sports arena with all grounds with International Standards.

The college has a Computer facility with an internet facility that is also provided to enable the students to search the knowledge on digital platforms.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Pharmacy canteen is very much liked because of its products, priced at a moderate level. The quality and hygiene of the food are checked regularly to ensure the safety of the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The facilities also provide an air-conditioned area with airconditioned used for workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and academic activities throughout the year.

The college has a fleet of 40 buses and two vans to transport students and staff members. The bus terminus includes Krishnankoil, Srivilliputtur, Rajapalayam, Sivakasi, Madurai, Watrap, and University campus. Besides the regularly scheduled trips, the facility is extended for occasions like after the college hour Special Coaching Classes, Visit Local Industries, hospitals, NSS Camps, etc

The college has an Alumni Association formed with the motive to create a network of students, operate through interaction, to bring in new projects through alumni. The Association works to place the students through the alumni. The Association is rendering all kinds of help for the betterment of Educational Programmes for deserving and needy students by granting medals for meritorious students at the College Day celebrations every year. Outstanding personalities and Alumni are honored for their achievements. Special lectures on their specific areas of interest are delivered by renowned Alumni members on behalf of the Alumni Association on the College premises. Last year, an Alumni meet was conducted, and a large number of former students responded with enthusiasm. All the members expressed their astonishment and delight at the growth of the alumni association. Executive and general body meetings are regularly conducted by gathering the members of the Alumni Association. Graduation day is conducted in college regularly every year for alumni.

The college Swimming Pool is constructed with technical advice from Mr. V. VALVEEMARAJA, former manager and Stadium Officer, at Aquatic Complex Velacherry, Chennai. The swimming pool is always maintained with Clean and hygienic surroundings, following the words of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation. Life Guards, who are well-versed in swimming and have swimming certificates, were appointed. They are keeping a close eye on the swimmers and the pool to ensure their safety of the swimmers. The college campus has two banks. There are Union Bank of India and Karur Vysya Bank, a nationalized bank. It is elevated to a core branch now. The services of the bank include offering educational loans to needy students, gold loans, personal loans,s and housing loans to the campus community. The bank has set up two ATMs. one on the bank building and the other centrally located on the campus.
