ASD Government Degree College for Women, Kakinada Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College managed hostel and the Social welfare hostel are attached to the college. They are located on the back side of the main building of the college, within the campus. Due to the hostel facilities, the college is able to cater to the needs of the students from rural areas. These Hostels accommodate up to 300 students, and two government BC Hostels outside the campus.

The College in the year 2004. Since then, Dr. Krishnaveni has been acting as the consultant doctor till 2017. In the year 2018, Dr. S. Rama Tulasi, Assistant. professor, KIMS Hospital Consultant Dermatologist, Venereologist & Cosmetologist, acting as the consultant doctor.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college plays a crucial role in providing students and faculty with a wide range of resources that foster learning, research, and scholarly development. With a collection of 32,796 books, 14 Journals, and 16 magazines, the library supports diverse academic needs, offering textbooks, reference books, e-journals, e-books, and more, ensuring that our community has access to cutting-edge knowledge. In line with the institution's commitment to academic excellence and technological advancement, the library has embraced automation through the integration of the SOUL 2.0 Library Management System. This sophisticated software enhances library operations, streamlining cataloguing and circulation to create a seamless user experience. Additionally, the library’s subscription to NLIST through INFLIBNET, DELNET, along with access to a range of digital resources like eShodhSindhu, ShodhGanga, and various databases, further enriches the research capabilities of our faculty and students. The library provides an extensive physical and digital collection and also offers a conducive space for study. As an essential pillar of academic life, the Central Library at A.S.D. Government Degree College continues to empower our academic community, supporting their journey towards knowledge, innovation, and excellence.

The college has a Red Ribbon Club, a movement by the Government of India in educational Institutions through which students will raise awareness of AIDS. Through RRC, youth are encouraged to learn about safe and healthy lifestyles. The RRC promotes access to information on safe sexual behaviors and voluntary blood donation, as well as enables them to become change agents inthe  HIV & AIDS programme.
