ASD Government Degree College for Women in Kakinada is a fully autonomous institution governed by the State of Andhra Pradesh. Both undergraduate and postgraduate programs are conducted by the college to satisfy the overall educational needs of female students. Admission policies are based on contingency merit with a point of inclusivity for all eligible female aspirants to realize their educational ambitions at ASD Government Degree College for Women. Undergraduate courses carry an intake of 15 programs and postgraduate courses carry an intake of 2 programs in the fields of Sciences, Commerce, Arts, and Computer Applications. 

For undergraduate admissions, candidates should have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board. The timeline of the admission procedure is based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination. For the postgraduate program, it is expected that candidates have completed their bachelor's degrees in the respective discipline from a recognized university.

Application Process

The application procedures for the ASD Government Degree College for Women, Kakinada, are detailed as follows:

1. Notification: An admission notification is issued on the official website of the college and local newspapers regarding the commencement of the admission process.

2. Application Form: The application form can be downloaded from the college website or can be obtained in person from the office of the college. 

3. Document Submission: It is mandatory for applicants seeking admission to submit the following documents along with the duly filled application form: 

• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate 
• Caste Certificate (if applicable) 
• Recent passport-size photographs

4. Application Submission: Completed applications along with all requisite documents must be submitted to the college office by the scheduled date. 5. Merit List: The college will prepare the merit list based on the students' performance in the qualifying examination.

6. Counseling: All eligible short-list candidates will undergo counseling during which they will be entitled to select their preferred course as per their merit rank and seat availability.

Process of Admission Degree wise

B.Com Programs: There are three B.Com programs at the college-B.Com Computer Applications Hons, B.Com Hons, and B.Com Digital Marketing Hons. 60 for Computer Applications and Hons in B.Com while 40 seats are allotted for Digital Marketing. The admission is purely on merit basis: by the grade obtained in the 10+2 examination with Commerce or equivalent subject.

BA Programs: There are two BA programs, BA Economics Hons and BA Political Science Hons, each having a capacity of 40 seats. The applicants are from a 10+2 with Arts background.

B.Sc Programs: The college offers a wide range of B.Sc programs, such as Zoology, Home Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Botany, and Computer Science Hons. Each program has 40 seats which are allotted of the basis of the candidate's performance in the 10+2 examination with Science subjects.

The college runs an M.Com program in the Postgraduate Department. The candidates should have their B.Com or any other related degree from any recognized university.

M.Sc Organic Chemistry: The college offers this program for postgraduates with 30 available seats. Candidates can apply for this program if they have completed their B.Sc degree in Chemistry or any related fields. 

MA Telugu: The college also offers its MA in Telugu for those who are graduates in Telugu or allied subjects.
