Baselios Poulose II Catholicos College, Ernakulam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

BPC College Ernakulam offers hostel facilities to girl students. The hostel committee looks after the hostel mess which functions on the dividing system. Hostel Advisory Board, with the Principal as the Chairman, monitors the regular activities of the hostel. The principal is the chief warden of the hostel.

BPC College Ernakulam has a Library that has a collection of more than 22137 volumes covering a wide range of topics like Culture, Religion, Literature, Science, and Technology. Besides, there is a good number of journals and periodicals subscribed. The Library was automated in 2005 with Libsoft. Barcoded Identity Cards are issued to all staff members and students. The subscription to INFLIBNET-NLIST provides easy access to 80,000 e-books and 3000 e-Journals. Gate Register and Web-OPAC (Online Catalogue) are also installed in the library to provide state-of-the-art facilities.

BPC College Ernakulam has an open-air auditorium with a built-up area of 278 sq. metres that are well maintained for the stage performances of Arts Fest, Carol Night, and College Day functions.

BPC College Ernakulam has extended canteen facilities to the students and staff. It serves snacks, soft drinks and meals. The items are given at a subsidised rate to the Staff and Students. A canteen committee, appointed by the Principal, is monitoring the regular activities of the canteen.

BPC College Ernakulam has to cater to the travelling needs of the staff and students, a college bus facility is made available. Currently, we have five bus routes. They operate between Kothamangalam, Ernakulam, Kolenchery, Vaikom and Thiruvankulam.

The BPC College Ernakulam provides facilities for various sports and games and encourages participation at various levels under the guidance of the Physical Education Department. BPC College Ernakulam also has a Volleyball academy for the students.

BPC College Ernakulam provides computer laboratories with state-of-the-art computing facilities and latest systems configuration. The labs accommodate around 150 systems which are fully networked and up-to-date software requirements with respect to the curriculum have been installed to cater to the needs of the students.
