Baselios Thomas I Catholicose College of Engineering and Technology is located at Koothattukulam in Ernakulam District which was established in 2011. This affiliated college has many engineering programs where the main concern is to develop and deliver top technical education. BTC has the following five B.Tech program to achieve the interest of the engineering students. The college is well located in an environment that is conducive for learning, thus enhancing the performance of all the concerned institution goals.
Its amenities show that the Baselios Thomas I Catholicose College of Engineering and Technology offers a full range of facilities for study and students’ development. It currently owns a collection of approximately 5000 books in the range of engineering technology and sciences, and many national and international journal subscriptions. The University has a central computing facility with over 400 student computers branded BTC for research and academic use. To ensure that the students get accommodation close to their classes, the campus provides separate hostels for boys and girls which include, AC and non-AC rooms sharing basis. Sports amenities are there for all students for building up their physical health along with their intellect. Generally, BTC Ernakulam admission process is conducted through the Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical Entrance Examination (KEAM). The singles state-level entrance exam will be the common gateway for any aspiring candidates to be considered for admission into engineering courses at the institution.
The candidate is usually required to have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects for basic eligibility to B.Tech courses offered by BTC.
BTC Ernakulam Application Process
The following steps are involved in the admissions of the Baselios Thomas I Catholicose College of Engineering and Technology:
- KEAM Examination: Under this step, the students will have to register for and then appear for the KEAM examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala.

- Fee Payment: Payment of the admission and tuition fee as per the college and university stipulations.
- Final admission: Complete admission formalities at BTC with the submission of original documents and other requirements stipulated by the college.
BTC Ernakulam B.Tech Admission Process
For various fields of engineering, BTC provides five industrial B.Tech programmes. BTC Ernakulam admission process for these courses is mainly based on the performance of the candidate in the KEAM examination. B.Tech programmes include:
- B.Tech Civil Engineering
- B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
- B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
- B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
All the above-mentioned programmes require qualifying in the KEAM examination and participating in the centralised allotment process conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala. The final selection will be based on the rank obtained by the student in the KEAM and the availability of seats in the programme chosen.
