Criteria 1: 10+2 Examination

• Board: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized by the Central/State Government or a member of the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi.
• Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).

Criteria 2: Diploma Examination

• Board: Candidates must have passed a minimum 3-year Diploma examination from the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), or any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
• Vacancy Availability: Eligibility is subject to the availability of vacancies in the first year. If lateral entry vacancies are exhausted, candidates may be considered for first-year admission.
• Bridge Courses: The institute may offer bridge courses in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing, etc., to level the playing field for candidates from diverse backgrounds.
