City College of Pharmacy, Barabanki, is an emerging pharmacy institute in the state, designed specifically for Indian students in Uttar Pradesh. It offers two specialized programs in pharmacy, admission procedures for which are determined on merit as well as by entrance tests. The institution affords quality pharmacy education recognized by approval from AICTE and PCI.
The admission process in City College of Pharmacy is based on the state-level entrance examination. An entrance examination is being conducted for admission to the D.Pharma program through the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (JEECUP). Admission to the B.Pharma program on the other end is based on the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE).
The modalities for application for JEECUP is anticipated to begin in January of the academic year, and it shall end sometime towards the close of April. To enroll for a D.Pharma course, an applicant must have successfully completed Class XII (Intermediate level) in the required subjects. For B.Pharma, students should have finished their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as subjects.
Application Process
For D.Pharma:
1. Register for the JEECUP examination on the official website.
2. Fill out the application form and pay the required fee.
3. Appear for the JEECUP exam on the scheduled date.
4. Once the results are out, selected candidates will be considered based on JEECUP scores, Class XII marks, and performance in the interview.
5. Selected candidates need to complete the admission formalities at City College of Pharmacy including verification of documents and fee deposition.
For B.Pharma:
1. Obtain admissions through the official portal for UPSEE.
2. Fill the application form along with requisite fee submission.
3. Appear for the UPSEE on the prescribed date.
4. Admission shall be considered on the basis of UPSEE score for the successful candidates.

6. Admission at City College of Pharmacy shall be completed by submission of required documents and payment of fees.
Admission requirements generally run:
Selection will clearly depend on the respective entrance examination performance (say JEECUP for D.Pharma and UPSEE for B.Pharma) followed by a consideration of the individual's academic credentials and, for D.Pharma, an interview. Acceptance thereafter is on verification of documentation and has to meet all the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the college and its regulators. Prospective students are encouraged to visit JEECUP, UPSEE, and City College of Pharmacy's official websites to remain updated on application deadlines, examination dates, and admission procedures.
Degree-wise Admission Process
D.Pharma: City College of Pharmacy offers a Diploma in Pharmacy course of duration two years with a total intake of 60 seats. However, admission to this program is purely based on performance by the candidates at JEECUP followed by Class XII scores and an interview. The JEECUP examination generally takes place with subjects which are relevant to a pharmacy education.
B.Pharma: This program also admits 60 students. Admission into this four years program is done through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE). Only candidates aspiring for admission into B.Pharma will take the UPSEE, which tests the candidate's knowledge of subjects very relevant to the pharmaceutical studies.
