City College of Pharmacy, Barabanki, is an emerging pharmacy institute in the state, designed specifically for Indian students in Uttar Pradesh. It offers two specialised programmes in pharmacy, admission procedures for which are determined on merit as well as by entrance tests. City College of Pharmacy offers a Diploma in Pharmacy course of duration two years with a total intake of 60 seats. However, City College of Pharmacy admission to this programme is purely based on performance by the candidates at JEECUP followed by Class XII scores and an interview. The JEECUP examination generally takes place with subjects which are relevant to a pharmacy education.
B.Pharma programme also admits 60 students. City College of Pharmacy admission into this four years programme is done through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE). Only candidates aspiring for City College of Pharmacy admission into B.Pharma will take the UPSEE, which tests the candidate's knowledge of subjects very relevant to the pharmaceutical studies.
