College of Engineering, Pandharpur (CEP) is an esteemed college offering a variety of engineering and management courses. CEP admission system aims to select the most talented and deserving candidates through a system of merit, abiding by the rules and regulations of the Maharashtra state government.

Generally, the admissions are held for the College of Engineering, Pandharpur starting May-June for the various programs commencing around August-September. The various national and state level entrance examinations are considered for accepting applications as per the program. For B.Tech admission, the selection is done on the basis of MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) examination scores only. For postgraduate courses, admissions are based on the scores of GATE, CAT, MAH MBA CET, XAT, MAT, CMAT, and ATMA.

For UG programs, the basic eligibility criteria are the passing of the 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. For most courses, a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination is required. The postgraduate applicants should have completed their bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Application Process

The application procedure for CEP is different with respect to the different programs:

For the B.Tech program:

1. MHT CET examination must be successfully undertaken.
2. Register for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
3. Option form must be filled selecting CEP and preferred courses.
4. In case granted a seat, student shall proceed to CEP to verify documents and pay fees.

For the M.Tech program:

1. Must have either cleared the GATE exams.
2. Must have applied in the merit list for our state-level M.Tech centralized admission process together with other applicable colleges in Maharashtra.
3. Fill in the option form selecting CEP and preferences of specializations.
4. On the event of being shortlisted for counseling, and fulfilling all admission formalities.

For the MBA program:

1. Candidates are to appear in one of the accepted entrance exams (CAT, MAH MBA CET, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT).
2. They should apply through the centralized admission procedure for MBA in Maharashtra.
3. If shortlisted, participate in additional rounds of selection (e.g., group discussion, personal interview).
4. If selected, carry out the admission process.

For MCA program:

1. Appear for the relevant state-level entrance exam.
2. Follow the centralized admission process for MCA in Maharashtra.
3. Confirm admission by undergoing the formalities in case of allotment of a seat.

Course Wise Admission Process

B.Tech: Admission to these five B.Tech programs totaling 540 seats is entirely on the basis of MHT CET scores. These programs are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Students must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry and must have cleared the MHT CET examination.

M.Tech: There are 72 seats in four programs of M.Tech courses offered by the institute under which admissions will be mainly granted based on GATE scores. The specializations offered are Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Design Engineering. Candidates have to possess a B.E./B.Tech. in the relevant field.

MBA: The 60 seats of the MBA at CEP are considered for admissions, which define scores of several entrance examinations: CAT, MAH MBA CET, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT. The selection criteria may also include additional rounds such as group discussions and personal interviews.

MCA: The postgraduate program of Master of Computer Applications at CEP holds an intake of 60 students. Admissions in this program are based on state-level entrance examinations, mostly following similar patterns like other postgraduate courses.
