Education is one of the most important aspects of human life and with this motive, Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak set up a Directorate of Distance Education to ensure that everyone can get easy access to quality education no matter where they are. It came into existence in 1988 and even if this is not the best distance learning centre in the country, it is constantly striving and improving to become one. The institute offers many undergraduate and postgraduate courses including BA, B. Com, B.L.I.Sc, MA, MSc, M. Com. The institute is recognised by the UGC. It offers students with a Student Support Service facility thereby ensuring that the platform is well built and academically strong. The students can apply for the college through the online mode by going to the portal of the university.

Step 1: The students have to first register for placements. Once all the students have registered, the institute sends annexures to the various recruiting companies that talks about the jobs that they will offer, including the salary packages and the roles.
Step 2: Further, the institute prepares the students for the upcoming placements through pre-placement talks. It gives the students an idea about how the process of placements will take place.
Step 3: Once the companies are on the campus, the students have to first send in their resumes and verified documents. Then the students have to sit for a written test which is conducted to check the logical, linguistic, technical, and aptitude skills of the candidate.
Step 4: Further, the students that pass the written tests are called in for group interviews. On qualifying the group interviews, a student is eligible to appear for a personal interview.
Step 5: If the candidate passes the personal interview round, he is selected for the job and is provided with an offer letter stating the same.

The college is not much good and not much bad its average.
Verified ReviewPlacementsThe placement percentage of B.Com students is normally between 20% to 30%. Though the university does its best to arrange placements, the placements are usually not very good compared to other institutions. The students are mostly supposed to secure placements based on their own merits in interviews instead of through university placement assistance.

Verified ReviewPlacementsThe placement of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak is pretty decent. The placement cell of the institution is very nice, cooperative and supportive with the student. The average package offered here is around 4-5 LPA which is average not so great and not so bad. The highest package offered here is around 9 LPA +. The students who have proficiency in their skills, have confidence and good English communications skills get chances to get a higher package.

Verified ReviewPlacementsThere are no placement opportunities for the distance learners. This is quite a disadvantage for the students like me. But the teachers are highly motivating and keep the stunts aware of the job opportunities outside in the real world
