Don Bosco institute of technology is good college in Bangalore.. one of the top colleges. Faculties are really friendly. No seconds thoughts about it. Just have to concentrate on attending in classes. Otherwise definitely not a bad college to recommend to anyone. Hostel is pathetic. Please don't opt for hostel. Canteen is again bad. No variety of food is available. Only meals and we definitely can't have meals everyday. It's a good college for education.

Our college is really good in infrastructure

It is also like a hub .you can see each and every type of student here (from intelligent to duffer) and in the faculties also so obviously a little tuning between students and faculties so placement is going to less.infrastructure is good as covered 600+area.full of extra curricular activities.placements are very good in the computer science engineering and hotel management and at ECE also.more focus on soft skills so can say more focus on service base education.Best security i have ever seen till now for girls living in the hostels inside the campus as far as i am concerned the college has moderate infrastructure, nothing fancy. the washrooms, benches and labs could be improved. the college provides fair and quality education to all its students.the management is supportive n encourages students to participate in various academic and cultural competitions.the best part of my college is the faculty. they are all supportive n understand the students. the fun part in college is comparatively less since there are no college trips. there could be more industrial visits for higher semester students. overall, the college provides good placement opportunities and has descent facilities.

This one of the good collage.. the facilities are good and friendly in nature, they teach us from the basic level which we can easily understand...the infrastructure is gud...and even library also.. placements are not up to mark..hostel facility is not bad...but the food they provide is not worthy...we get water problem sometimes..and and now they are giving some training for placement which is a good improvement... Collage fest is very well conducted we enjoy a lot...and also department fest too...for each Dept is conducted..they invite celebrity's for the event ..we enjoy our hostel life here..and the security is very well maintained..hostel food can be improved still more and we have a very broad campus... excellent exposure to the every kind of facility that is lab instruments, labrary , internet, sports, fest , technical things etc...

My opinion about my college is that it is a good college with good and very friendly faculties, especially our department is the top most department of our college,it has always been the same,it has good placements, many companies come to our college for conducting placements, the bad thing about our college is about hostel there is always scarcity of water and canteen has very less varieties of food and infrastructure was good when I joined the college with greenery everywhere but now to construct more departments they cut down all plants, except for these reasons I like my college

About College:

The Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) is based in Bengaluru, having been established in the year 2001. It has a campus worth 36 acres of land in the capital city of Karnataka state. The DBIT is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), located in Belagavi, also in Karnataka. This affiliation ensures approval of the UGC (University Grants Commission). It has also been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). The DBIT was founded by the Wayanamac Education Trust (WET). It runs several educational institutions, all of which are located in Karnataka itself. These are for the areas of- Science, Management Studies and Computer Applications. The college is named after the Reverend John Bosco, who was loving known as Don Bosco. He founded the Salesian Movement. Institutes bearing his name can be found all over the world.

The DBIT offers course at both the UG as well as PG levels. At the undergrad level, the B.E. degree may be availed in the engineering areas of- Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electronics & Communication and for Electrical & Electronics. At the master’s level, the courses get more technical. So, the M. Tech programmes are available for the areas of- Computer Science, Design Engineering, Digital Electronics & in Power Systems Engineering. There is also an MBA programme here. Admissions to the engineering programmes is via the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) at the UG level, and the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for the M. Tech. The CAT (Common Admission Test) and MAT (Management Aptitude Test) examinations are considered for the MBA programme.

The entire academics here is run by a cohort of twelve departments. Six of these are for the engineering areas. A seventh is for Information Technology, which has temporarily been discontinued. There are three departments for the fundamental sciences in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The other two are for the MBA and for Physical Education. There is a thriving student life on campus. The Annual Sports Day is a marked event on calendar. There are several clubs on campus to look after student activities. The clubs here are named as – Life Club, Socio Eco Club, Music & Dance Club and the Art & Craft Club. The Student Action Committee is behind them all.

Research is also a very important area at the DBIT in Bengaluru. That is why several Centres of Excellence (CoE) have been placed within the campus, to work on each of the key focus areas. Industry partners have been roped in for these. They provide funding, plus practical inputs on real- world requirements. There are six of them in total beginning with the Centre of Excellence in Robotics. This is in collaboration with the Kuka Robotics from Germany. Another tech giant from Germany, Siemens has helped curate the CoE on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The Intelligent Systems Lab is with Intel. The other MoUs are with SAP, 6 Sigma and with Oracle, which has a local chapter of the Oracle Learning Academy on campus.

The campus has much to offer. There are hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Banking facilities with ATM are available in the campus’s vicinity. There is a sports field where cricket and football may be played. Facilities are also there for indoor sports. The gymnasium may also be used by all. A large auditorium is there to facilitate major events, at both intra and inter college level. The campus is Wi- Fi enabled. Science laboratories have the latest of equipment. A health centre is also there to cater to medical emergencies. Hygienic food is prepared at the college cafeteria. The college even has its own transport to ferry students to and from the campus. A convenience store is also located within campus. The library here is one of the best stocked within the region. Besides the physical books on display, it also provides digital access to en number of international academic journals for research and academic purposes.

Thanks to all these initiatives, the Careers 360 magazine has placed the DBIT within the AAA category among engineering colleges. The placements have likewise gone quite healthy. A Career Development Programme has been put in place by the college, to guide students towards the right steps they need to take for a fulfilling career. Key recruiters from campus in recent seasons have been the likes of- IGATE, Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech, Capgemini, Just Dial, NTT Data, Infosys, SAP, Via Com, TCS, Adecco, Amazon, Axis Bank, Bosch, American Express, Accenture, Alpha Marine, HGS, Mphasis, Vector India, Cognizant, Coca- Cola, Dell, Ericsson, Toyota Kirloskar, Schneider Electric, TVS & Sons, UTC Aerospace, RBS, Philips, Mind Tree, Myntra, HP, IBM, Harman Associates, HCL, Honeywell, ICICI Bank, Huawei, Indus Ind Bank, Nokia, Saint Gobain, Paytm, Kotak Mahindra, IMS Health, Manhattan Associates, RIL, Amazon, Flipkart, Jus Pay, KPMG and others of the ilk.
