MD Biochemistry at Dr DY Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai Offline Course

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Biochemistry is a three-year full-time postgraduate course, offered by Dr DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, and approved by National Medical Commission (NMC).

This is a postgraduate program of 3 years tenure recognised by the Medical Council of India. It includes rotational postings in the departments of Biochemistry, General Medicine and Pathology.

Our department is equipped with a state of art Biochemistry laboratory and a research laboratory. The practical training entails interpretation of various test results and their performance. In addition to this the student gains by interaction with clinical services, understanding of technical methods, instrumentation, information systems, quality assurance and Laboratory management.

This is backed by a sound theoretical knowledge base that is acquired by means of attending lectures, seminars, journal clubs and case discussions. The student is also trained in pedagogy. The course provides ample opportunity to develop practical and interpretational skills as a biochemist. It facilitates the development of an analytical and application based approach to the practice of Biochemistry.
