MD Emergency Medicine at Dr DY Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai Offline Course

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Emergency Medicine is a three-year full-time postgraduate course, offered by Dr DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, and approved by National Medical Commission (NMC).

This is a postgraduate program of three years duration recognised by the Medical Council of India. It includes rotational postings in the Departments of Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, TB and Chest Medicine , Orthopaedics, Anaesthesia , Paediatrics and Radiology.

The student acquires clinical and practical skills by observation and by being involved in the management of patients under expert supervision , in the Out Patient Department, Casualty, ward and Intensive Care Unit setting. The student is trained in Trauma Management, management of Medical Emergencies and mass casualties.

These skills are practiced by the student in our state of art Simulation Laboratory. In addition to skills training , theory of Emergency Medicine is taught via the medium of lectures, case discussions, journal clubs and seminars. The experience gained by the student facilitates the development of excellent clinical and practical skills, along with a sound judgement in the practice of Emergency Medicine.
