36 MonthsDoctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Physiology is a three-year full-time postgraduate course, offered by Dr DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, and approved by National Medical Commission (NMC).
This is a 3 year postgraduate program recognised by the Medical Council of India. This involves rotational postings in the departments of Physiology and General Medicine. The course involves an in depth study of physiology of the different systems of the body and the application of this knowledge in understanding the pathophysiology of disease.
The department is well equipped with state of art laboratories where the trainee physiologists can hone their practical skills. Theory is taught in the form of lectures, case discussions, journal clubs and seminars. The student is trained to teach physiology to undergraduate students under expert supervision.
