Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Civil Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Shivaji University, Kolhapur
Entrance Exams
Candidates seeking admission in the First Year B.Tech course can apply through a state-level entrance exam (MHT-CET). Candidates can also apply for admission on the basis of the JEE Main scorecard.
Without appearing in any of the said entrance exams, candidates will not be considered for the admission procedure.
Selection Process
Candidates have to register for the counseling to participate in the counseling. In counseling, candidates have to fill the college and course preferences. After that, the seats will be allotted to the candidates as per their filled choices and their ranks.
65% admission by Central Allotment Process (CAP) of Government of Maharashtra through MHT-CET.
15% admission by Central Allotment Process (CAP) of Government of Maharashtra through JEE MAIN for MS/OMS candidate.
20% admission for institute level quota.
1. Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
The candidate should be an Indian National;
Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics are compulsory and optional subjects are Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology & Technical Vocational. Choose anyone from the optional subject and secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of Backward Class candidates)in the above subjects taken together, and obtained a score in JEE (Main) Paper I or MHT-CET.
Or
Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
Or
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognized University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
Obtained score in MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
2. All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu, and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates.-
The candidate should be an Indian National.
Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics are compulsory and optional subjects are Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology & Technical Vocational. Choose anyone from the optional subject and secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of Backward Class candidates)in the above subjects taken together and obtained score in MHT-CET.
Or

GOI nominees and J & K migrants have a quota of one seat in each department. They have to apply to the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State for the release of seats.
3. Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) – State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidates
The Candidate should be an Indian National.
Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
Or
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of Candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject provided that Students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics /Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second-year subjects.
Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time
