B.Tech Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline, which caters to the development needs of a common man. In this field, students learn construction, planning, designing and maintaining. The discipline deals with the construction of physical infrastructures which include highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports and other buildings, sewage systems and water treatment facilities. The course also involves maintaining and protecting the public and environmental health as well as improving existing infrastructure.
After completing a four-year course, students get an academic degree from the Andhra University which is designated as a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering.

The candidates must qualify the Entrance Test-Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). The test is conducted by the Govt. of AP.
The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry).
