Government College For Girls, Ludhiana was established under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi in 1943. The college is a government institution situated in Ludhiana. It is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college offers education to students in various diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The courses consist of various degree programmes in the disciplines of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Commerce, Sciences, Computer Applications and Management & Business Administration.

GCG Ludhiana courses are B.A., B.Sc, B.Voc, B.Com, B.B.A., B.C.A., M.A., M.Com, M.Sc and Post Graduate Diplomas. The courses are provided in two modes i.e. government-aided and self-financed. GCG Ludhiana's fee for the first year of the BA course is Rs. 8,336 whereas for the BBA Self-Finance course, the first-year fee is Rs. 25,991. Before applying for admission, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is quite old and needs renovation. The lecture halls are equipped with boards. The labs are not in good condition. The campus is spread over a large area. There are many playgrounds in the campus.

College Infrastructure

The buildings have got old and need renovation. Benches have become so old that it is difficult to sit on them. The lecture halls including boards, labs, etc. are in bad condition. The campus is spread over vast area in the centre of Ludhiana and has vast playgrounds.
