Government Degree College Chodavaram is an attached school affiliated to Andhra Pradesh state in India, located in the district of Visakhapatnam. It is known to have a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in arts, commerce, and sciences.
The admission process is then merit-based on the passing of Government Degree College Chodavaram for undergraduate admissions in that the college considers the academic performance of the candidates in qualifying examinations for their undergraduate admissions. For postgraduate programs, the college also accepts scores from conducting of the Admission Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test for Andhra Pradesh state.

Application Process
For Undergraduate Programs:

For Postgraduate Programs:
1. Take the APPGCET examination.
2. Attend to register for counseling after the results of the APPGCET are declared.
3. To be considered for counseling, fill out and submit the college application form with:

Mark sheets of graduation and of Degree Certificate
Other documents as specified by the college
4. Attend counseling if shortlisted by the above criterion based on APPGCET rank and availability of seats.
5. If selected, process the prescribed fee payments and verification of original documents to complete admission.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Com (Hons):
60 seats of admission is on the merit basis of the 10+2 qualifying examination.
BA Programs:
BA in History, Economics, and Political Science: 60 seats merit-based.
BA Economics (Hons): 60 seats based on the 10+2 academic performance.
B.Sc Programs:
B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry: 50 seats
B.Sc in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry: 50 seats
B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science: 30 seats
B.Sc Chemistry (Hons): 40 seats
B.Sc Zoology (Hons): 40 seats
B.Sc Physics (Hons): 40 seats
B.Sc Computer Science (Hons): 40 seats
Based on merit from relevant subjects in the qualifying examination, admission to all B.Sc programs will take place.
Postgraduate Programs:
M.Com: 30 seats
M.Sc Physics: 30 seats
M.Sc Organic Chemistry: 20 seats
Admissions to postgraduate programs are dependent on APPGCET performance and college academic record.
