About Government Medical College, Kadapa
Government Medical College Kadapa, previously known as Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, is situated near Kadapa City. Initially, the hospital served as a secondary-level care facility, known as the District Hospital. Later, it was transformed into a tertiary-level care hospital and renamed Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa.
GMC Kadapa was established in 2006 and covers a vast area of 210 acres. GMC Kadapa was inaugurated on 27 September 2006 by the then UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi. This medical institute started functioning on 1 August 2006. GMC Kadapa is affiliated with Dr YSR University of Health Sciences. Government Medical College Kadapa admission at two levels: UG level and PG level.
GMC Kadapa courses include MBBS courses at the undergraduate and MD courses and MS courses at the Postgraduate level. GMC Kadapa admission will be granted based on NEET UG for MBBS and NEET PG for MD/MS courses. To get into GMC Kadapa admission, one needs to appear and qualify for the NEET examination. Then one needs to secure the GMC Kadapa cut off, in order to be eligible for admission.
GMC Kadapa facility includes great infrastructure and has separate boys’ & girls’ hostels, a fully equipped health centre, a richly stacked library, and a state-of-the-art IT set-up. It makes available all kinds of sports facilities, a cafeteria run under the perfect standards of hygiene, a big auditorium.

Hi. The previous years cut off for both the colleges is given below.
- Siddhartha Medical College, Vijaywada- 543 marks
- Sri Venkateshwara Medical college - 544 marks
Both the cut offs are for general category (The cut off for reserved category is usually lower). Even though the cut offs have increased

Rajiv Gandhi institute of medical science Kadapa stands in a better position than government medical College Ananthapur interms of ranking , faculty etc.
So I think rims Kadapa would be a better option .
