The MBBS program at GEIMS follows a structured curriculum that spans over 5.5 years, including a one-year compulsory rotating internship. The course is divided into pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical phases:
- Pre-Clinical Phase: This phase covers the basic sciences, including Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. Students gain a solid understanding of the human body’s structure and function.
- Para-Clinical Phase: During this phase, students study subjects like Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Forensic Medicine. This phase bridges the gap between basic sciences and clinical subjects.
- Clinical Phase: The clinical phase focuses on practical training in various medical disciplines such as Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and more. Students rotate through different departments to gain hands-on experience in patient care
Four and a half academic years plus one year of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI), NEET UG Qualified.

Eligibility Criteria
- Academic qualifications: To secure MBBS admission in India, candidates must have passed class 12 from a recognised board.
Subjects studied: To pursue an MBBS course, students should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their class 11 and 12.
Minimum marks required: For MBBS admission 2024 in India candidates must score at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination. For SC, ST, and OBC category candidates, the minimum marks required for MBBS admission are 40%.
Age: Aspirants should have attained the minimum age of 17 years for getting admission to MBBS in India. There is no upper age limit for the NEET exam.
