Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research recently celebrated Anti-Ragging Week in accordance with the NMC and UGC guidelines. Various competitive events were organised for both UG/PG/Ph.D students as well as for faculty and staff members. 

Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR), located in New Delhi was founded in 2012. HIMSR New Delhi, a private medical institute is a constituent unit of Jamia Hamdard. The institute is provided with 740 beds by Hakeem Abdul Hameed Centenary (HAHC) Hospital. HIMSR is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and has the approval of the National Medical Commission (NMC). HIMSR courses are offered in medical and allied subjects at undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-doctoral/doctoral levels. 

HISMR admissions are offered on the basis of merit as well as a qualification in NEET UG/NEET PG and Jamia Hamdard entrance examination. HIMSR facilities include an auditorium, a library, departmental laboratories, separate hostels for male and female students, residential doctors and interns, and other facilities.

HIMSR New Delhi Location

The Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is situated in Block D, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi, and is easily reachable through various modes of transportation. The nearest station to HIMSR New Delhi is Ring Railway Station which is located at a distance of nearly 11 km from the institute. The Indira Gandhi International Airport is approximately 17-18 km away from HIMSR. The Kalkaji Bus Depot is located at a distance of 4.5 km from the medical institute and it takes around 13-15 minutes to reach the college. The Greater Kailash Metro Station is somewhere 5 km away from the college. Apart from this, students can have cabs and auto-rickshaws to reach the institute.
