HIET School of Legal Studies, Kangra, is a BCI-recognized college. The institute occupies a 10-acre campus at Vidyanagar, Shahpur, Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. HIET School of Legal Studies aims at providing quality legal education.
Admission procedure at HIET School of Legal Studies is designed to choose the most appropriate candidates for its BA LLB (Hons) course, admissions are likely to be provided based on percentage marks scored at 10+2 or equivalent exam and/or marks scored at a law entrance test.
Application Process
According to general practices in legal education institutions, the following steps can be anticipated:
1. Admissions Notification: HIET School of Legal Studies will give a public notice on its official website as well as other media regarding the start of the admission process for the BA LLB (Hons) course.
2. Application Form: The students will have to buy and complete the application form. It is available for download on the institute website can be obtained in person from the institute.
3. Document Submission: In addition to the filled application form, the applicants will be required to submit the following documents:
4. Application Fee: The applicants will be required to pay an application fee. The institute will indicate the mode of payment as well as the amount.
5. Entrance Test: Where applicable, the applicants will be called upon to take a law entrance test. Syllabus, pattern of test, and dates of importance would be intimated by the institute.
6. Merit List: A list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared and published based on academic record and/or entrance exam marks.
7. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification. Original documents are required to produce for verification.
8. Fee Payment: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to pay course fee in time to hold their admission.
9. Orientation: Admitted students will be compelled to go through an orientation course so that they get accustomed to the institute, faculty, and course structure.
Degree wise Admission Procedure
BA LLB (Hons): HIET School of Legal Studies only has one law course currently running, i.e., BA LLB (Hons) course. It is an integrated course running for five years full time with arts and law subjects together. The capacity of the program is approved and is 60 students per annum.
Eligibility for BA LLB (Hons):
The admission to BA LLB (Hons) would most likely be decided based on:
1. Academic marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination
2. Performance in a law entrance examination (if applicable)
3. Any other as defined by the institute or as per BCI norms

A law professor is a person who has done his teaching from the Law Subject, or is someone who has been practicing Law in some type of Courts such as District Court or High Court etc. and had later joined the teaching profession.
