The IICD, Jaipur is one of those illustrious institutes as an institution for crafts and design education. The IICD is multidimensional in its undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering various disciplines of design in hard materials, soft materials, fired materials, fashion clothing, jewellery, and crafts communication. IICD, Jaipur admission is based on aptitude, creativity, and academic performance.
Usually, IICD, Jaipur admission cycles coincide with the academic calendar year, which, most commonly, is between August and September. The minimum qualification for undergraduate programmes is to have completed 10+2 through a recognised board. Following performance in the foundation semesters and aptitude, specialisation will be allotted to students as per the decision of a committee constituted by IICD, Jaipur.

The institute has B.Des programmes with six specialisations:
There are, in total, 180 intake seats for the B.Des programmes. For specialisations, students are selected by performance in foundation semesters and their aptitude. Fee for the entire B.Des programme is Rs 1,269,200.
The same specialisations are with regard to the M.Des programmes being offered by the institution. The total intake for these programmes is 90 seats. As with the B.Des programme, selection shall also depend on performance in foundation semesters and aptitude. Fee similar to that for the M.Des programme is Rs 1,269,200.
IICD offers M.Voc programmes,
Overall intake for M.Voc programmes is 90 seats. Not least of all, graduates from disciplines other than Design/Architecture can pursue M.Voc by taking a one-year PG foundation course at IICD, giving a total of 3 years for non-design background graduates.
Students must have original documents along with photocopies for verification during admission.
