The IICD, Jaipur is one of those illustrious institutes as an institution for crafts and design education. The IICD is multidimensional in its undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering various disciplines of design in hard materials, soft materials, fired materials, fashion clothing, jewellery, and crafts communication. IICD, Jaipur admission is based on aptitude, creativity, and academic performance. 

Usually, IICD, Jaipur admission cycles coincide with the academic calendar year, which, most commonly, is between August and September. The minimum qualification for undergraduate programmes is to have completed 10+2 through a recognised board. Application for IICD programmes varies slightly in the process:

B.Des programmes:

• Completed 10 + 2 from a recognised board.
• Apply for the IICD B.Des programme (check at the official site for particular details of the application).
•  Attend Foundation Semesters.
• Specialisations will be allocated based on performance in foundation semesters and aptitude.

For M.Des programmes:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree (specific may differ according to the specialisation).
• Apply for the IICD M.Des programme.
• Evaluation of foundation semester performance and aptitude will be done.

For M.Voc programmes:

• Holds either Bachelor's degree.
• One-year PG foundation course at IICD for non-Design/Architecture graduates.
• Applied to the preferred specialisation of M.Voc.

• Complete out the application of the desired programme.
• Submit the needed documents.

The institute has B.Des programmes with six specialisations:

The same specialisations are with regard to the M.Des programmes being offered by the institution. The total intake for these programmes is 90 seats. As with the B.Des programme, selection shall also depend on performance in foundation semesters and aptitude. Fee similar to that for the M.Des programme is Rs 1,269,200.
