      The Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore admissions are offered to 2 UG courses, 3 PG courses, and 4 doctoral courses. Students seeking ISI Banglore admission in any course need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.       ISI Bangalore UG admission is offered to 2 course; Bachelors in Mathematics Hons, commonly known as B.Math Hons. It is a three-year degree programme that offers comprehensive instruction in basic mathematics along with basic courses in probability, statistics, computing and physics. For admission to this course, students will have to appear for two written tests comprising multiple-choice type and descriptive questions in Mathematics.

      • Candidates willing to take ISI Bangalore admission in this course must fulfil the eligibility criteria.

      • The eligible candidates can then fill out the online application form available on the official website of the institute.

      • Candidates then have to appear for a written test, such as JEE Main/CUET UG

      • Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore admission to B.Math is done based on that selection test, which comprises objective-type and short-answer type questions in Mathematics at the Higher Secondary level (10+2 years programme).

      • The list of selected candidates is based on the performance of the candidate in the selection test.

      • The shortlisted candidates are called for a round of personal interviews. 

      • The final list of candidates selected for  ISI Bangalore admission to the course is announced after the interviews based on their collective performance in the entrance test and the interview.

      Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore Admission 2025-2026 for PG Courses

      Indian Statistical Institute admissions are offered to 3 PG programmes;  MLibISc, MMath, MS Quality Management Science. Before applying for admission the candidates should make sure that they are eligible for admission to this course. These are all 2 year courses and the students need to follow the selection procedure for admission.

      • Students who have completed their BSc degree from the Indian Statistical Institute are offered direct admission to the MSc programme without any selection test or interview. 

      • Other students, including students who have done BMath (Pass) degree from the Indian Statistical Institute, will have to first meet the eligibility criteria.

      • Eligible candidates will have to fill out the online application form that is released on the official website of the university.

      • The applicants have to appear for a written admission test conducted by the institute.

      • The admission tests will comprise multiple-choice questions in Mathematics in the first part and short-answer type questions in Mathematics in the second part

      • The election for the Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore admission to the MSc programme is based on academic record and performance in written selection tests. 

      • This is followed by a round of personal interviews.

      ISI Bangalore offers 4 doctoral courses; PhD Development Studies at the Economic Analysis, PhD Library and Information Science, PhD Mathematics and Statistics, and PhD Computer Science at System Science and Informatics. Students willing to take admission in any of these courses need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The selection process for these courses is given below in detail;

      How can I get admission in ISI(Indian statistical institute)

      As far as undergraduate degree course of ISI is concerned, they are only 2 courses they are B.STAT &B.MATH.both requires 10+2 degree in relevant discipline from a recognised board.
