Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat offers admissions into the programmes at two distinct levels. JB College admissions into UG programmes are given based on merit or CUET UG scores whereas JB College PG admissions are given based on the Jagannath Barooah College Post Graduate Entrance Test (JBCPGET). 

20% of the total JB College Jorhat seats will be filled up from CUET and the remaining 80% will be filled up directly by the College. Selected candidates shall have to enrol themselves in their respective streams and classes on specified dates notified by the college authority.

The statutory reservation policy of the government shall be followed in case of the selection of eligible candidates for JB College admission. Notice inviting applications for JB College admission into the certificate programmes shall be issued by the Principal as per the Academic Calendar of the College. JB College admission is on a first-come-first-serve basis subject to the availability of the seats.

JB College UG Admission Process 2025

• Online application forms are accepted from the students who meet the JB College eligibility criteria. 

• Aspirants must have valid CUET UG scores or merit in the last qualifying exam.

• Applicants are whittled down to limited lists. 

• According to the JB College merit list, contenders should appear for the JB College counselling process. 

• Contingent on the assessment of the JB College counselling process, applicants are allotted seats.

• To get the JB College seats reserved, applicants should pay the JB College course fee.

• To complete the JB College admission process, students should get their documents verified to get the JB College admission confirmed. 

JB College admission forms shall be issued by the college, which will have to be filled up and submitted within a specified date declared by the college authority. A screening committee constituted by the college authority shall scrutinise the forms and the merit list of candidates shall be notified one day before the date of admission.

• Shortlisted applicants must appear for the (JBCPGET) Jagannath Barooah College Post Graduate Entrance Test. 

• Contingent on the scores of the exam, students are further shortlisted. 

• According to the JB College merit list, applicants must appear for the JB College counselling process. 

• Based on the evaluation of the JB College counselling process, applicants are allotted seats through JB College admission council. 

• 5% relaxation in the JB College eligibility criteria is given will be applicable for reserved categories. 

• JB College seats are reserved only if the students pay the JB College course fee.

• To prove the authenticity of their credentials applicants should get the documents verified to get the JB College admission confirmed.
